Jesus was NO ordinary man like us...it seems you don’t know the word that well...if he was an ordinary man like us, then he could never have atoned for our sins...do you understand that he was pure, Holy and without sin?

He was God’s Son.....he was begotten Of God.

Jesus was the only person to be born of a mortal mother, Mary, and an immortal father, God the Father. That is why Jesus is called the Only Begotten Son of God. From His Father, He inherited divine powers (see John 10:17–18).

I suggest that you do the same and believe the scripture that I posted...instead of plugging your ears and putting on your blinders..lol.

I don’t believe you, I believe God.

Jesus doesn’t know the day or time of his return....only the Father knows, so, best you get back into the word..remember you needs “ spiritual “ eyes and ears.

Jesus is not fully God....now please address all scripture which shows that Jesus was not fully God, instead of dismissing it...

Jesus Is Not God – Bible Verses

Kermit Zarley

Most Christians believe that Jesus was and is God. That is what the institutional church has taught. Christians professedly rely strongly on the Bible for this belief. Yet there is not a single verse in the Bible which states unequivocally, “Jesus is God,” or the like. Moreover, the New Testament (NT) gospels have no statement by Jesus in which he identifies himself as God. In fact, there are many Bible verses which indicate that Jesus cannot be God by declaring that only the Father is God or by distinguishing Jesus from God. Three irrefutable texts in the NT declare both of these points.

Jesus Himself Teaches that Only the Father is God

First, and foremost, is one of Jesus’ sayings recorded only in the Gospel of John. The setting is the Last Supper, right before he was arrested and crucified. He prayed for his disciples, saying, “Father,… This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17.3). So, Jesus says of the Father that he is “the only true God” and then distinguishes himself from that one God. Both of these points clearly indicate that Jesus himself cannot also be God.

There are two other times the Johannine Jesus identified the Father as the only God. Earlier, he told his Jewish opponents that the Father is “the one and only God” (John 5.44). And again, at the Last Supper, Jesus distinguished himself from this one and only God by commanding his disciples, “believe in God, believe also in Me” (14.1).

Paul Teaches that Only the Father is God

The other two NT passages which irrefutably establish that only the Father is God and distinguish Jesus from God are in Paul’s letters. He writes to the church at Corinth, “There is no God but one…. yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him” (1 Corinthians 8.4, 6). Here, Paul clearly declares that for Christians there is one God, who is the Father, and there is no other God, so that Jesus is not God.

Many traditionalist scholars cite this passage to support that Jesus preexisted, thus concluding that he was God. Yet in doing so, they often ignore its double declaration that there is only one God, who is the Father. Even if Jesus did preexist, this does not prove that he was God. Second Temple Judaism regarded that some righteous men preexisted, and Jews did not conclude that such preexistence indicated that they actually were God/gods.

The third irrefutable NT text which establishes that there is God, who is the Father, and distinguishes Jesus from God is in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. He writes, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” (Eph 4.4-6). Here, Paul implicitly identifies Jesus Christ as “one Lord” and distinguishes him from the “one God,” whom he unequivocally identifies as “the Father.” Paul is a unique author of NT literature in that he exclusively and consistently calls Jesus “Lord” and the Father “God.” Therefore, he never calls Jesus “God.”

So, these three NT passages—John 17.3; 1 Corinthians 8.4, 6; and Ephesians 4.4-6—establish without any doubt that only the Father is God, so that Jesus cannot be God.

Other Witnesses That Only the Father is God

One of many other NT passages which confirm that Jesus is not God is his encounter with the rich young ruler. This man sincerely asked Jesus, “‘Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone’” (Mark 10.17-18/Luke 18.18-19; cf. Matthew 19.16-17).

Many Christians have been confused by this saying, thinking that Jesus implies that he himself is not good. Yet the NT often declares that Jesus was such a righteous man that he never sinned (Acts 3.14; 2 Corinthians 5.21; Hebrews 4.15; 7.26; 2 Peter 2.22).

Then what did Jesus mean when he said, “no one is good but God alone”? In the OT, Judaism, and especially Hellenistic theism, only the one God was considered “good” in an absolute sense. This must be what Jesus meant in this encounter. Humans were called “good” only in a derived sense, with God being recognized as the Source of goodness.

Many NT passages show that Jesus was not God. For instance, the NT often declares that God sent Jesus, God was with Jesus in his mission, and God raised him from the dead. Peter preached about “Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst” (Acts 2.22). Peter later proclaimed about “Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him” (10.38).

In the salutations of all ten of Paul’s NT letters he identifies God as the Father, distinguishes God from Jesus Christ, and he never mentions the Holy Spirit. He typically writes, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” This evidence further affirms that only the Father is God and that Jesus is not God.

Moreover, the Bible contains several verses which state unambiguously that Jesus had a God, and most say his God was the Father. When Jesus hung upon the cross he quoted Psalm 22.1, crying out to the Father, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME” (Matthew 27.46/Mark 15.34). The day Jesus was resurrected, he said to Mary Magdalene, “I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God” (John 20.17). And three times the Apostle Paul writes about “the God and Father of our/the Lord Jesus (Christ)” (Romans 15.6; 2 Corinthians 1.3; 11.31; cf. Ephesians 1.17). Finally, the heavenly Jesus is quoted five times saying “My God” (Revelation 3.2, 12; cf. 1.6).

The Verse that Made Me Think

The one verse that caused this author to first question whether Jesus is God is Jesus’ saying in his Olivet Discourse about the time of his return. He said, “But of that day and/or hour no one knows, not even the angels of/in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone” (Matthew 24.36/Mark 13.32). Since Jesus did not know the time of his return he could not have been God, for he reveals that God the Father did know it. Orthodox Christian theology has always insisted that God is omniscient, knowing everything, including everything about the future. Accordingly, Jesus could not have been God.
If anyone believes God they believe His word, plain and simple, and not the reasonings of man's commentaries. And God's word says plainly and simply that the MAN Jesus was THE LORD from heaven. Jesus Himself testified in so many words as to Who He was, for those who have ears to hear it.

Precious friend, and yet we have Abundant [ 500 Plain And Clear ] Scriptures Teaching us That:

The LORD Jesus Christ Is God!

Amen.
Unfortunately, that is not true, even though it is a doctrine held by the majority of ‘Christian’s’ today….Jesus said that the majority will be misled….it is the “few” who accept the truth, despite stiff opposition, just as it was in the first century. (Matt 7:13-14; John 15:18-21)

Majority rules have never been seen in God’s worshippers. They were always different….the Jews, so different from the surrounding nations.….and then the Christians, so different from the Jews…and now in these last days…true Christians (wheat) are different to the counterfeit ones created by the devil.(weeds)

In Scripture Jesus is called “theos” (“a god or “a powerful divine one” according the Strongs Concordance) but he is never referred to as “ho theos” (THE God of Israel)…which is the term used in the Greek language of the day to identify a singular god with no name.

The Jews of the first century did not utter God’s illustrious name in spite of the directive at Exodus 3:15 that this was his memorial name “forever”…..and no command of God ever stated that it was too divine to speak…the Bible writers used it frequently and with due reverence. Had the divine name still been in general use, the trinity could never have been introduced.

The God of Israel was a single entity, as opposed to the nations who had multiple gods. Monotheism is what identified the nation of Israel as different to the people of the nations.

What you have, are countless ambiguous verses that seem to suggest what Christ himself never taught. Not once in all of Scripture did Jesus or his Father ever even suggest that they are equally “God”.

For one thing, an immortal God cannot die, so if Jesus was God, he did not really die the same death as Adam, because Adam’ death was caused by sin. Jesus had to be his exact equivalent in order to pay the set price. An immortal cannot pay atonement for a mortal being. The scales are not balanced.

The one who came to ransom mankind had to be without sin to atone, or to pay the penalty for the sin that Adam passed on to his children. Perfect sinless life was lost, and so a perfect sinless life was needed to redeem his offspring. He died instead of us, so that even if we lose this life, it will be restored along with everything else that we lost.

Once the idea of a multiple god in one entity was implanted, so long ago that no one seems to question something that they cannot explain, those scriptures took on a totally different meaning because English and Greek have completely different phrasing and the translation is open to subtle manipulation.

There are just two verses among many that tell us what we need to know about Jesus….

John 1:18 completely invalidates the inference of John 1 :1…
”No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him.”
This is the one who was “with God” “in the beginning”…..the eternal God did not have a “beginning”.

And we have the clear declaration of the apostles as a collective, when Paul said….
”For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.” (1 Cor 8:5-6)

One “God” and one “Lord”….the two titles do not mean the same thing. They are titles, not names.
Both God and his son have their own unique names, as well as these titles in common.
God’s spirit has no name.

No one can come to the Father except through the son….and no one can come to the son unless it is granted by the Father (John 6:65)…..so even those two portions of Scripture state what trinitarians cannot produce.…clear categorical statements.

So, if we do not “know the only true God AND the one he sent”….we cannot have everlasting life. (John 17:3….Jesus said it, not me.

Yes, everyone who wants to have eternal life must believe in Jesus and accept him as their Lord - John 14:6 (WEB):

(6) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Acts 2:36 (WEB):
(36) “Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

On the day of Pentecost Peter preached quoting from Joel chapter 2, the last verse of which says, Acts 2:21 (WEB):

(21) It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

The verse in Joel shows that it is God's name - Joel 2:32 (MKJV):

(32) And it shall be, whoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be saved; for salvation shall be in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as Jehovah has said, and in the remnant whom Jehovah shall call.

Acts 2:39 (WEB):
(39) For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”
Joel 2:
32. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Acts 2:
21. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Hebrews 1:
3. Who being the brightness of HIS Glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by the word of HIS power, when He had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Isaiah 9:
6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus the Son Himself purged our sins, and not the FATHER who art in Heaven and in secret.

There was no Holy Ghost power when Jesus was persecuted wounded and bruised by the beating and flogging.

And while He hanged painfully on the Cross for the sins of the world for 6 hours.

Surely then whosoever shall call on the name of Lord Jesus shall be saved, and not Jehovah's.

Colossians 3:
17. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to GOD and the FATHER by Him.

The exact word used in scripture to describe Jesus is "Almighty." God is Almighty, and Jesus is God. (Yet, He is the Son.) I choose to let the Word say what it says. :)
Besides the written word in context or out of context, there also to go along with it wisdom from above.

If there's only word to the letter without wisdom, it'll be baseless and meaningless, and fruitless.

Wisdom given us teaches the full truth of the Kingdom, that there can never be two 'Almighty GOD'.

There's only one 'Almighty GOD the FATHER' who art in Heaven and in secret, and no man have seen HIM at any time.

But alone the only begotten who's at the bosom of the FATHER who's SPIRIT and invisible.

Therefore the 'Mighty God the Son' who's visible and takes on body Himself, is too the express image vessel of the FATHER in person.

Colossians 1:
19. For it pleased the FATHER that in Him(Son) should all fulness dwell;

1 Corinthians 11:
3. But I would have you know, that the Head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and HEAD of Christ is GOD.

Even based on earthen common sense, if as a son i bear the express image of my father, like father like son, am i the father?

Yet for an appointed time i represent my father fully in words and deeds until the mission is accomplished, for that's his will.

Then when it's over, am going back to being the son and he the father once again.

Shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

I don't know if there is a difference between Mighty God and Almighty God,
Almighty, meaning one is above all mighty and superior.

Mighty, meaning one is second in line.
but just want to make mention, that Christ is ruling&reigning now, and according to the scripture it is at His return that He will hand the kingdom over to the Father:

1Co 15:23-26

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
It will not happen at His first coming in the cloud, where He'll bring home the bride.
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
This will take place after His second coming with His angels to defend Israel against anti-Christ and the armies of the world who've surrounded them.

Where satan will be cast to hell and death shall be destroyed.

Shalom in the name of Jesus Christ

I suggest members remember that this is a Trinity believing forum,
According to those who run the show...they believe the trinity....is that true?

Not everyone on the forum believes in the trinity...that’s what admin have decided...that you all believe in the trinity..just trying to understand...not looking for an argument that’s all...

If admin all believe in the trinity , and those who don’t ...aren’t allowed to go against their belief..then I will respect that...and not discuss it any further..post edited @Rita ....as I don’t want them to find an excuse to ban me...sigh...if it’s Gods will that I get banned...so be it...he places us where he wills..for however long he wills us to be there...

It must be hard for those who run the show...especially when they believe what they believe...then along comes someone who has a completely different belief ..which is contrary to their belief...they have to stay neutral....can’t say that I could do that job....
and debating against it is no longer allowed on this forum. ( it is a closed handed issue )
Ok...for those who don’t believe that Jesus is God...it’s a close handed issue...no worries...if I see anyone who states that if you don’t believe that Jesus is God... you will die in your sins...i will and can respond,is that correct?

Plus how about those who keep forcing that belief onto us? is that allowed?..I never asked to be tagged...I get the message “ loud and clear”...this is a believing trinity forum, that admin have decided.....respected...

@Wrangler @Aunty Jane @TheHC ...we are not allowed to go against the belief of the trinity on this forum...as Rita has explained that this is a believing trinity forum....just informing you, in case you missed her post..which is easily done...God Bless.

Correcting two misunderstandings here.

1. We don't dictate who is saved, we determine what kinds of content is allowed on this site.

2. Mods have no obligation to remain neutral. Everyone is expected to remain civil in their discussions.
