.

Gotta go get the car once-overed for our trip to Myrtle Beach. Not fun, but necessary. :)

I see the water's not blue anymore. That's kinda sad, but we'll still have a ball!

.
I went to Myrtle Beach when I was in the military. Great times!

Thanks for starting this discussion. My day has been pretty good so far. I woke up to a beautiful sunrise, which always sets a positive tone for the day. I had a productive morning at work, where I finally finished a project I'd been working on for weeks. That sense of accomplishment really lifted my spirits. Then, at lunchtime, I treated myself to my favorite meal, a delicious bowl of ramen from a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, I had a great chat with a friend I hadn't spoken to in a while, which brought back some wonderful memories. Overall, it's been a day filled with small joys and moments that made me appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
We have a great Japanese restaurant near us that serves ramen. Glad you had a good day!

So far, trying to get work and other tasks done before I head to church for a fellowship prayer time, and helping with sound for the worship team practice afterwards. Also hoping to talk to the pastor to see if they'll consider starting a evening bible study again. Planning to volunteer myself to lead it, if need be.

Yesterday I put up two pints of pesto from my herb garden. (That's a lot considering that mine has thyme and parsley in it and very little of the stems and no pine nuts)

So my wife and I were talking about winter crops.
We think garlic and shallots are doable...just got to rip out the overgrown Holly bushes. I've never liked Holly. Pokey bushes....

We definitely enjoy the pesto and fresh herbs. Maybe the garlick and shallots will be good too.

Oh....I see I forgot to include the basil in the pesto. LoL.

But today I cut down one of the holly bushes and began to dig the thing out. This Holly Bush filled the bed of my full sized truck.

But the roots are going to be another story. I've got it half dug and the thing still barely vibrates when kicked.

The fair was fun! I walked for two hours on the nature trail, went to the fair with hubby, shopped at the thrift store, and tried on a bunch of outfits with my new floor mirror. I just cleaned out my purse. I am doing a lot to make thw most of my free weekend. I think im long overdue for a journaling and scrapbooking session.
