Tough? Would you like you share, Wynona?

The sickness i had for a few days finally calmed down just some sneezy and stuffiness, hope it goes away by monday.

May start wearing a mask at work (might have something to do with getting the sinus infection.)

It was so hot outside today, maybe will mow the yard sometime tomorrow.

Totally respect whatever people wanna share openly or privately.

Sometimes ill talk on private but most of the time, my only hope is that God helps people in their life and its known people also have to incorporate him, into their life.

Jesus tends to fill the void of loneliness; so im okay with it. :)

I will go to the appointment. But I think I need to stop taking so many suggestions frim others about caring for myself and my baby and just relax. Its harder than you might think. My dear mother in law is helpful but worries me over too many things.

Plus, I hate pushing back even when my gut is telling me that some of the advice from her and others is unnecessary cause Im a new Mom. It saps my confidence.

And thank you, MatthewG, it helps that someone remembers that Im human.
Oh so sorry Wynona, being a new mum takes time and it’s quite common not to feel very confident, more so when others are always giving advice. I know it’s hard but I am pretty sure that the motive for others is one of care- are you still seeing health visitors ( not sure how it works in the US ) ?
Weigh up what your mum in law says with what they are saying and what your heart is telling you to do. Babies are so unpredictable in those early months.
With my first I use to follow a mothercare book, really knew nothing about babies. My First never followed the advice the book gave me ( I ended up throwing the book away with my second !!!!!!! )
I got the hang of things by my third !
Remember this is your baby, so you are allowed to make your own decisions with regards to how you do things xxxx
Much love
Rita

A good relaxing day today. I hummed Naomi to sleep which I loved and took things easy. Hubby played his game and helped with Naomi. I love how he plays with her and bench presses her little body in middair.

I also went out earlier and got some new clothes for Fall from Goodwill. I fully embrace that I love little old lady clothes now. Part of me always held back because I felt like people would make fun of me for being a black chick who never wore any street or hip hop clothes. But in time and with support from hubby, I have learned to fully embrace who I am, quirks and all.

Plus, I think I still look nice in them.

I took a break from the forum for a few days. Got a little fed up with the debate areas which always seems to happen. I did have some time to work on my project and made a lot of headway, which is super.

Today I did some much needed house work. I find that being on my psych meds takes away my motivation. It is difficult to get up the energy to do house work. I'm happy with myself today.

Is it not also Christ within you shining through even to those of us who have never seen you in the flesh? Nothing wrong with what you call "little old lady clothes'. My wife wears them and I love her all the more for it.

She, my wife that is, reminds of the picture in my mind of my paternal grandmother who loved God seemingly beyond measure.

Give God the glory!

My To Do list is long. All the tasks are small byt they really add up. Instead of a digital notepad record, Im glad I wrote it down on an actual notepad. It will help me acknowledge how much I accomplish.

Thankfully this morning was restful and I napped when the baby napped.

I had a rough couple days. Went to the doctors for the first time in a year and was due 3 vaccinations. I took all 3 and got really sick. Boy was I sick. Felt like I had a bad case of the flu.

It's been a good day. Hubby went with Naomi and I to the nature trail. It's a paved trail so we took the stroller. Then I cleaned the kitchen and made fish, rice, and broccoli for lunch. This afternoon, Ill likely declutter through my scrapbooking supplies, fishing items, and books in the bedroom.
