The bible says we are to draw nigh to God and resist the devil as the way to defeat him.I found this message on YouTube and I found it helpful. I feel it can be helpful to someone here.
Precious friend, A Very Warm Welcome to the Board.I found this message on YouTube and I found it helpful.
YES - :)The bible says we are to draw nigh to God and resist the devil as the way to defeat him.
Also the whole armour of god! And if you look, trhe only offensive weapon a believer has is the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. This is the only way to overcome Satan. Anything else, the devil laughs.
But the iron scepter refers to the smashing of the nations into pieces. And not necessarily authoritarian governance. Smaller nations may prove less corruptible.Yet let us not forget Jesus will rule with an iron scepter, so perhaps man will finally be proven inept in his stewardship when the motivations of his heart are proven to be wicked and his coerced sacrifices lacking.
What do you suppose 'ruling with an iron sceptor' means?Yet let us not forget Jesus will rule with an iron scepter, so perhaps man will finally be proven inept in his stewardship when the motivations of his heart are proven to be wicked and his coerced sacrifices lacking.

As I can't imagine God backtracking on worship in Spirit and in Truth.
If we base it on the pottery reference in Revelation 2:27 it could mean fragmenting the nations. This is achieved through the wrath of God against the nations. What do you suppose 'ruling with an iron sceptor' means?
Thanks, never heard that. And not sure how it would apply except when people gather together in nations, like they did in Babel.I have a question regarding nations, (considering I am someone who believes Satan is done away with) though we can have wars go on still today, that is just a given. Would you consider the nations - the twelve tribes of Israel? Just wondering if you may have ever heard something like this, or been asked the question.
When nations is looked in greek it deals with the ethnos - the ethnic group(s). Anyway all the best, IForrest.
'God's wrath', 'dashing them to pieces' ....does that sound like one who in his dying moments say's 'Father forgive them they don't know what they do' ?If we base it on the pottery reference in Revelation 2:27 it could mean fragmenting the nations. I don't have a problem with God being capable of wrath. Judgement was not part of Jesus' ministry on earth, but he still promised it and even proved himself able.'God's wrath', 'dashing them to pieces' ....does that sound like one who in his dying moments say's 'Father forgive them they don't know what they do' ?
Would you consider another interpretation?
however, would you countenance another way of seeing, of hearing and of understanding?I don't have a problem with God being capable of wrath. Judgement was not part of Jesus' ministry on earth, but he still promised it and even proved himself able.
Reading joshua. He gave out land to the tweleve tribes. Thanks for answering thought you might find it usefulThanks, never heard that. And not sure how it would apply except when people gather together in nations, like they did in Babel.
