How to Test the Spirits?

I dont' know if I'm misunderstanding you or not....are you saying we should never question miracles for fear of blaspheming the Holy Spirit? There are times when we need to discern or hear directly from the Lord concerning whether something is of Him or not.. The religious leaders who were accusing Jesus were doing neither, and their hearts and attitude were wrong, so their accusations were false and resulted in blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Yes, good point. I take on board what Jesus said to His first disciples.

Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.” But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against [a]us is on our side. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.

Hims can lip the name of JESUS and yet
hims will make it seem as though other religoins who confess HIM not as CHRIST are okay too .
You see even the devil and devils believe and tremble , what they want to do is convince us its not necessary to HAVE TO BELEIVE .
And i know full well BY NOW we have heard many trying to plant such doubts
as they are fast to try and bring in the snare in its infancy form .
the snare that tries to say things like WELL what if one did not BELIEVE JESUS
and yet they FOLLOWED the great commandment . Lets stop the train right there .
THEY DONT . HAD ONE LOVED GOD they had LOVED JESUS THE CHRIST , IF one loveth CHRIST
they love What john wrote , TO BELIEVE , AND TOBELIEVE ON JESUS THE CHRIST and to love one another .
LETS NOT FORGET THE BELIEVE PART .

That is step one absolutely true sister . but what i type next is gonna be a major wake up call to many .
Lets go back a few chapters to one called chapter thirteen . Read that one real closely
and know and understand that GOD can allow things to happen and to occur , JUST to TEST us
to see whether one truly loveth HIM or not . deut thirteen is as true as is deut eighteen .

Thanks for sharing that MA2444. This same question was on my mind when I woke up today. How do i/we get prepared for our Groom and reigning with Jesus in His coming kingdom? How do we prepare ourselves for the Father's coming never ending kingdom that follows?

Spending quiet time with God. Every day. It goes like this...
Find a quiet place where you wont be disturbed or distracted.
Bring your Bible and a notebook.
Sit still and listen.
Read your Bible and ask questions of the Holy Spirit.
Talk to Him!
He will begin speaking to you through His word, Whatever He impresses upon you, write it down, it must agree with the Holy Spirit and the Bible or it isnt Him.
Put some Christian hymns on softly in the background. Something about music which gives glory to God opens your heart and brings you into tune with His Spirit.
Let the Lord speak to you through His Word and through hymns & Christian music.

It can be hard to get into the habit of listening to God and reading your bible. Find a good time to do it every day. I do mine in the morning right after waking up. I'm rested, fresh and morning is the best time to get connected with the Lord & His Spirit. You get a better outlook on the day!

The Spirit revealed to me that its like doing an apprenticeship in this life in preparation for our role of being a qualified ..... in King Jesus's government. That what we do now determines what we do then. And what we do then, under the Kings authority, we will continue to do when Jesus submit Himself and His kingdom to His Father.

I've thought about it in exactly that way before! So it's the same Spirit teaching us both! Show up for work early, do your best even if you fail at something, ask questions and be teachable, then you will learn and grow in the Lord.

I hope I get the job for a permanent position! The time to worship in Spirit and in Truth is upon us. We must grow. And listen to Him!

and now a word of reminder . if what any loves is a lie , inquity then their love cometh not of GOD but is of the world .
And that love loveth the flesh and is contrary to THE SPIRIT .
Let us remember this well the next time a man stands and tries to even hint or suggest
that no religoins truth is better than the others . For what i say to one i say to all
ITS only THOSE whose faith BE in CHRIST JESUS who have the TRUTH . And that EVERY word HE spoke IS TRUTH .

for these spirits will contradicts the words of TRUTH spoken by GOD and of HIS CHRIST .
These spirits will work as did the serpent in the garden . FOr they can bring truths
but will use truths twisted to imply a lie .
The lastest example .
HAS JESUS really said ye must believe . Yes we surely must believe in HIM and if one believes not they are condemned .
Nay , nay sayeth these spirits , ye shall not be condmened if you believe not for GOD is LOVE .
IT will use the phrase GOD is LOVE , which is true , BUT use it to imply this means they wont be condemned .
WHICH BE A LIE . Because IF JESUS said they would , THEN IT came OF GOD .
This is why our mission is so dire important . Souls cannot be saved by a lie no matter how good that lie might seem .
ONLY BY THE TRUTH , ONLY BY FAITH IN JESUS THE CHRIST . YOu keep that firm to the END my friend .
Let no man be swayed by another love , another gospel , which be no LOVE of GOD or GOSPEL of GOD .

This truth caused me to go into Their presence in submission, seeking Their will for me today. And just to add to that, He has given us the Helper, Holy Spirit to prepare us as the bride for her Groom. It removes the pressure from me to have to do all the work. And yes, without Him we can do nothing. Yet with Him we can do all things! Praise be to the God of all grace Who does all things exceptionally well.

Lastly, by abiding in the Vine and so we will bear much fruit, fruit (oil) that will endure til we meet with our Groom.

I know! It's great huh? We have a lot to look forward to! The Lord knows that we are like an untrained Donkey and will stumble all the time. He's not looking for perfection (and that's a Good Thing!). He looks at our heart and our intentions, and how much effort did we put in, or did we pull back and walk away.

All we have to do is to show up for work and say yes Lord Boss, what do you want me to do today? Be there to help me!

I'm retired now but worked a bunch different companies in my time, and I just love the type of Boss who will get down in the Ditch with you and work as much (or more) than me. There's something very satisfying about that.

And Jesus is just like that! He'll take that shovel from you and say Here I'll do it...What A Boss! Praise the Lord! In those instances, our job is to pay close attention to what He does and says.

Earth is types and shadows of things in heaven. Our earthly experience is a dry run for the real Apprenticship. In my earthly experience, I never had to lie to get a job and I never had to steal to get ahead. A good work ethic. Admit fast what you cant do. That way you wont embarass yourself on the jobsite one day AND look like a Liar! That was good advice from my earthly Dad (rip)...

Yes, thanks for the reminder. All truth is in the Creators. Starting with our Father from Whom Jesus takes truth, then Their Spirit takes that truth and reveals it to me. Another truth They deliver to you. Yet another truth to another person. Sometimes He may give a same particular truth to multiple people.

It's great when you meet someone who has received a same truth and you get excited and encouraged by it.

People who know me often know what I'm going to say to them. It's, what is the Spirit (of Truth) saying to you? This causes them to go to Spirit of Truth to find out what Jesus the Truth has for them.

I've found it a great practice to be honest with you.

Yes. That's been my experience too. The Spirit brings clarity to me not deception. Any attempts by the enemy to try and deceive me with untruths are soon exposed and rejected. So no fear here.

It's comforting to know that I have a NEW heart at my new birth, not that old desperate wicked, deceitful heart I was born with.
And that my old mind that I was born with has been replaced by Christ's mind when I was reborn of His Spirit.

I'm glad this still works for you my friend.

My day is very unstructured and unpredictable so I just roll with the Spirit throughout the day and night. This type of relationship is interesting in the midst of chaos, drama and so much unknown. That's why I need to be in regular contact with Christ's Spirit so to be able to navigate our way throughout each new day.

Recently He revealed Himself as a Divine carpet on which I sit and am carried along. It's fantastic! I say that for the most part I enjoy the ride. Yet some of the adventures He take me on are, well, let me say, character building. But hey, isn't that a real bonus, to be transformed into the likeness of our Christ.

I just shared it actually....about the nature of the serpent and how he is operating to cast doubt on the scriptures and how he concludes with lying about the consequences of disobedience. That we may discern and not be ignorant of the wiles of the Enemy.
