One thing I do not do is cherry pick verses. When I post a thread there are plenty of scriptures to support any doctrine / teaching found in the Bible. You are projecting again epi.

God has no needs . Gods will is for the church to be built up in the faith through those He appointed in His church through the spiritual gifts. So I have no contradictions as it’s you who is conflating the two with your equivocating. It’s known as the false dichotomy fallacy your are espousing.

Projecting again. I have scripture to back it up unlike you Jim. I’m not the one denying God/ Christ has given/ appointed some as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers for the building up of the body as per Ephesians 4 below.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Clearly biblical since I have the Bible and Greek Lexicons and Scholars that verify the truth regarding Jesus Resurrection and human body He has forever . It’s the heart of the gospel and what the Apostles preached in Acts.
