Why is knowledge of good and evil reported as a bad thing?
God thought it was a bad thing,

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

There is no knowledge apart from the cross

without the cross. All the knowledge in the world will not help you. You will die in your sins.

Get away from EPi, he is leading you astray

Knowing good and evil.

God was not talking about knowing what evil was. The knowledge spoken of here is experiential knowledge, Adam sinned, he did an evil thing in Gods sight, hence he KNEW good and evil.

Who would you say chooses?
The rich man chose to not believe

Lazarus chose to say Yes God, I believe.

God is offering his salvation to everyoneh, Paid in full by his son In the cross. We have to chose to say yes God, I want your gift. I believe, or say no God. I will do it my way, I do not need it, Like the pharisees, I do not believe you like the pagan and the world religions, Or whatever we say in unbelief.

He who believes is not condemned

He who believes is condemned already, because they have not believed.

How were they stopped short?
I stopped the words, as sometimes they are to much. They have been spoken before in the world, and will be again, but this is just a message board. I know that The Lord is not displeased with me and that is all that counts to me. Thank you for asking. Have a Blessed day!

You don’t believe Jesus had knowledge of good and evil?

Let me rephrase, do you believe Jesus had knowledge of good and evil?
Jesus was in the form of God but left it behind to be found in the form of a servant. He was wholly submitted to the Father and didn't stray out of God's will for Him. It even says He only ever did what He saw the Father doing. And though He could have asked the Father to send angels to rescue Him from the cross, He didn't...instead He submitted to the will of the Father. You know, we can do all kinds of things supposedly for God, like those who said "Lord, Lord, didn't we do thus and such for you..." but He is looking for those who do His will, who are submitted under Him, not running ahead doing their own will in how they serve. I believe knowledge/understanding is like that too, we need to remain submitted to Him in our seeking, and not go beyond what is written...bringing our thoughts into captivity to Christ and His word.

Also seems your implying I’m outside of the will of God for seeking knowledge?

Isaiah 7:14-15 KJV
[14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. [15] Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

So again, if I have no knowledge of good and evil how will I discern?

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1Co 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

How will you know how to discern between good and evil if you are void of the Holy Spirit?

Are you saying I’m void of the spirit of God?
