Amen. And I wonder if in many cases some are not willing to give up their sin, so they try to find loopholes in the word of God that allows them to be saved and keep their sins at the same time. When they need to take God's side against their sin if they are to have any hope of being saved from it.

The pleasures of this life are so short....and eternity is a very very long long time. Not worth it to enjoy pleasures of sin in this short little life, of any kind, only to end up losing one's own soul when this life is over.

Your wondering is correct . WHY DID JESUS say men will not come to him , WHAT DO THEY DESIRE and were not willing
to give up .
Men love darkness and wont come to the LIGHT lest their evil deeds be reproved .

Except that anyone involved in sin defiles and harms their relationship with the Lord......just like being in adultery harms the marriage relationship with one's spouse......to the point where if the Spirit of God is grieved enough He may depart and the person will be disqualified from inheriting eternal life. A husband may forgive a wife is she wanders once, but if she makes a lifestyle out of it, she is the one disannulling the marriage relationship with her husband essentially and the husband is not likely to stick around under such circumstances, nor would he be obligated to.

That sounds more of a personal thing between two people and their decisions between each other.Some people end up getting married and even kill the spouse. Sure sin all it leads to is death, that could be death to a relationship.

Why aren't you sure?

If a man said to me, "I yelled at a little girl. I was very impatient with her and she began to cry. I'm not sure if that was a sin." I think impatience is a sin, but I can understand how someone else might not be sure. But how can you not be sure about homosexuality? That's one of the big sins, like murder and adultery.

Have you ever heard the lie that all sins are seen as equal in the eyes o GOD .
You can see even in the law that some sins were not punishable by death , BUT SOME WERE . SOME SINS are WORSE than others .
THOUGH this is no excuse to overlook nor justify ANY SIN . BUT SOME SINS sure are seen as worse .
And yet one of the worst ones is now being called love . imagine that .

The point I was making is that sin can separate one from their heavenly husband, from the Lord, as the scripture says. A lifestyle of homosexuality or likewise adultery/fornication or stealing or murder or any sin not going to have a good end, and it needs to be said and taught to the church since that is what the word of God teaches.

It begs the question, what is a Christian? Scripture answers that question. Jesus said one must be born again of the spirit in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. It is not about seeking to establish our own righteousness but about submitting to the righteousness of Christ within, of those who have received His spirit within.

Scripture also very clearly answers the question posed by this thread. We must not go by our "feelings" because feelings can be so deceiving and lead one astray, but we need to go by the word of God and unction of the Holy Spirit within. Think of trying to fly an airplane without instruments....the way that can seemeth so right to man, (to man's thoughts and feelings) leads to death.
