Here there, I am from Nepal, a predominantly a Hindu nation. Sadly when I was filling up the registration form, there was no option to choose Hindu.
I was born and raised as a Hindu, and I am, a practicing Hindu. However, religious studies is my subject of interest. Therefore, I like to participate in religious discussions. I have been a member on multiple Christian communities and I hope this one turns out to be the best for religious discussion.

Hi there, welcome to our site. A few years ago we had a couple from Nepal in our church. They had come to the UK so that he could continue his studies towards his masters degree. They were both Christians. Also an older couple from our church went to Nepal to serve God there.

Welcome!

May your path be straight and your eyes see and ears hear what is before you.
lets add but a few words to the end of that sentence .
May your path be straight and your eyes see and ears hear THE TRUTH OF JESUS THE CHRIST
that HE alone is the only name whereby one can be saved .
That GOD IS LOVE and that GOD desires not a soul to perish
SO ITS WHY HE DID SEND THE SON so that all who do beleive IN HIM would not perish but have everlasting life .
Okay maybe more than just a few words .

You know that the Arian race that came from the middle east were Abraham's third wife's children. They were monotheists because Abraham had taught them about the God that he worshipped and that there was only one God. However, some 1500 years later they were confronted with a demand from the "king" of the empire that they were a part of to place a statue of this Persian king in their temple and to worship him.

Sadly, the "Hindus" had lost their ability to communicate with God and had become "secular" such that when Budah fasted and sort the God of their temples in India he was not able to connect with the God of his father Abraham, so he concluded that there was no God and so Buddhism came into being at this time.

The Hindus who find Jesus and begin worshipping Him today, as their God, have reverted back to worshipping the God of their father, Abraham, which they had when they were living with Abraham in the land of Canaan before he had sent them towards the east.

I have been visiting Nepal over the last 28 or so years and my observation is that many of the practices of the Nepal people are very Jewish in character.

My hope for you is that you will be drawn further into a relationship by the God that Abraham worshipped while he was alive and that you come to understand your need to be in relationship with the God that Abraham worshipped while he was alive.

Shalom

PS: - Kathmandu, every year has the largest Jewish Passover fest in the world and many Jewish people visit KTM to experience the passover in KTM.

I think you will find this site, is fairly "Holy Bible" heavy.

There is an "inter-faith" forum, however (down at the bottom of the forums page).

I hope you soar, and develop faith!

Hi, a warm welcome to you.

I know a Nepali pastor who lives in Kathmandu. His brother is also a pastor and I think he still has a church there.

I remember the story of the first Nepali who became a Christian and preached Christ in Nepal, but can't recall his name. @Jay Ross Maybe you recall his name?

We hope you find discussions here to be educational and enlightening.
This is a good site for religious discussions especially those in the unorthodox forum for those brave enough to go there.
Welcome…we look forward to your insights…All topic should be open for civil discussion, but there are always those few who want to make it unpleasant…..please ignore them. We like a challenge.

There are these…..:pursuit:and there are those…..:sxl:The butterfly is the truth…..so we are happy to address topics from both perspectives.…

Dan, in case you haven't heard from other sources, you sabotage your opportunity to interact meaningfully with your mocking, your ridicule and the various put downs you practice including your attitude of superiority.

Yeah, that's where one can learn stuff the Lord and His Apostles never taught... unbiblical and extra biblical doctrine can be had over there View attachment 56582
We know that you are not one of those brave enough to face the truth, so I’d put you in the second category…. :sxl:
You can run away from the truth but it will catch up with all of us sooner or later…..

Being obnoxious never appeals to anyone…..hmmx1:

I looked around all over this thread to see if any did truly evanglize to that man .
I see no talks about JESUS the CHRIST at all .
for more info on how to evangelize read post five . Nobody tried to point this man to CHRIST .
proving exactly what i been saying all along . We been taught a wrong version of witnessing .
a version that just wont even dare remind one about the dire need to beleive JESUS is the Christ .
We should all hang our heads in shame . now go read post five cause it looks like someone
DID try and point this dear man whom we desire good for , TO CHRIST . something has went wrong .

Brother @amigo de christo is right.
Hey @DigitalNomad we desire good for you. We want to tell you the good news of truth. That the only way to be saved and have everlasting life is the dire critical need to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other way to be saved. May I suggest the best way of knowing more, is to read the KJV Bible. Perhaps starting with the Gospels is always a good idea. Welcome to this forum and I pray you see what great and hope there is for salvation by the one and only way, to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome DigitalNomad. Cool name. It is interesting that we are all like nomads at times _ on the net _ drifting from one site to the next, sometimes landing on a site that interests us and sticking around for a while.
I had a Hindu roommate long ago in California, Sonil Chandwani. He was a happy fellow. He used to have photos of his deities on his dresser, touch them daily and pray to them. One was Shiva ( three headed god), then a god with a gorilla head ( God of strength I believe) and another I forget. Actually, it was before I became a Christian so I wasn't really critical or put off by it - respectful. While he lived with me he started a relationship with some girl in India, which developed into an arranged marriage; proposed by a relative and then I guess approved by his parents who got to knownher personally. It was quite baffling to me that he agreed to it before he even spoke to the girl. I was pressing him, "Aren't even going to call her?" He was shy but eventually he did and they were both exuberant and in agreement with the marriage. She would fly over within the year. I went to the wedding, another unfamiliar setting. We had to take our shoes off. They paraded around this altar seven times ... I can't remember. I worked qith him butnthen quit that job and lost contact with him. He said marriages were made in heaven. And their marriages seem to last much long than ours (90%) - they are more committed. Where we go wrong is initially the romance, emotions or sex happen to quickly and we lose our ability to be objective; where our parents and family know us and can be more objective in choosing who would actually be a good match.

Not only did i not see a word about the dire need to BELEIVE ON JESUS the CHRIST
when i read what i just read it seemed like no correction at all was given .
But welcome to todays evangelism , the correct not , judge not , speak not JESUS name evangelism
