I looked around all over this thread to see if any did truly evanglize to that man .
I see no talks about JESUS the CHRIST at all
People are just saying hello and welcome. The first thing about evangelism is not to beat them over the head with the Bible. If you've ever talked to a missionary; they go into foreign territories, sometimes with primitive tribes, first by a warm greeting - not by judging. They get to know eachother, find out what their needs are and help them, love them, before they even bring up Jesus. After they receive love, then these people are more open to hearing the gospel. This takes time, weeks, months and years sometimes to build a relationship.
Your approach is just to come in with a hammer and start smashing. Evidently you do not have the gift of evangelism, neither do I, but I know at least how it's done.

for more info on how to evangelize read post five . Nobody tried to point this man to CHRIST .
proving exactly what i been saying all along . We been taught a wrong version of witnessing .
a version that just wont even dare remind one about the dire need to beleive JESUS is the Christ .
We should all hang our heads in shame . now go read post five cause it looks like someone
DID try and point this dear man whom we desire good for , TO CHRIST . something has went wrong .
Good grief Amigo...he just got here, and was honest enough to tell us why he was here.....
He is interested in religious discussions...he is not here to be converted. But who knows......God works in mysterious ways when he sees a good heart......you don’t have to Bible bash him or to make him feel uncomfortable as soon as he walks in the door.....he may well walk right out again....and those who have no love for their fellow man as a free willed responsible adult, will be responsible.

He needs to feel welcome, like Jesus made everyone who came to him feel welcome.

I have been visiting Nepal over the last 28 or so years and my observation is that many of the practices of the Nepal people are very Jewish in character.
I have lived all my life in Nepal, and Nepal was one of the earliest countries in Asia to accept Israel and establish diplomatic ties.
Well you're not going to be converting anybody to Hinduism here
I not a preacher, I have no interest in converting anybody to Hinduism. :D
Welcome DigitalNomad. Cool name.
When I was in my teens, I wanted to live a nomadic life. :D The story you share is very common in my part of the world, what is interesting is there is no word for divorce in Hindu language. :D

For all others, thank you very much for having me here.

Welcome to our forum. We hope You will find the discussions about scripture and also about current events Valuable.

Note: God’s expectations for us can be summarized in two (great) commandments: Love God and Love Your Neighbor.

Questions:
What does Loving God mean to Hindus? (Or is there an equivalent to faith in God?)
What does Loving Your Neighbor mean to Hindus? (Or are there corresponding faith expectations for Hindus)?

Perhaps Hindus and Christians have more in common than in differences, but I am not sure.

Blessings.
