Have you ever been outside of time? Have you ever seen The Unapproachable Light? Ever since I did I cannot figure out how to carry on, how to function as “normal”. Nothing makes sense any more, nothing has meaning.

Ridicule all you want. Could not care less about you.

Just wanted to see if there is anybody else who been THERE!

I am like two different people now. One goes through the motions of daily life like an automaton without soul and another wants to have absolutely NOTHING to do with it! I cannot bring those two together!

Yes I understand what you are saying. It is like being in the world but not of it. The solution is community in the Spirit. This is where the people are together in the light but they are still in the world. The Christian life only makes sense in the plural form....which is the body of Christ.

You sound completely normal! I don't think you are supposed to carry on the same, after such an experience. It is supposed you help you fix your affection on things above, and to see this world and our calling in it, as sons serving the most High God, more from His point of view. (I think.)

It is an utterly mind boggling experience. Several weeks later I am still trying to figure out
how to move on with my “normal” life. Nothing is normal anymore. Now “this” in
not normal only “that” is.

I cannot even talk to anybody about it. All I get is a blank look like I am
talking in some Martian language.

i think we can experience God directly in prayer - therefore we can experience God's timeless perfection, however the very experience changes us! so technically, the change is time - we are still within time, ourselves.

someday when we reach perfection through justification and sanctification in God, we will truly be outside of time.

I have been here ......

the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of righteous men now made perfect,

Indeed! ^_^ you know for sure now Suhar, that God is real and that everything written about him is true. You are very blessed to have that knowledge because many struggle with doubt..

Shalom!

Care to better explain your experience?

Feeling 'out of time' when in God's presence is perfectly normal for Christians. But when people refer to an actual out of body 'out of time' experience....it is merely a dream that feels real. Unless their god favours them above all others...my God shows no partiality.

"Time" is not a container with which to move beyond its boundaries whenever the whim of the supplicant so imagines. Did not Christ even subject Himself to the constraints of "Time"? All that is created is created within "Time" and only the One who creates can so move. Nowhere in scripture has one been taken "out" of time. A case may be made for "displacement", though I would rather count that as prophesy via a vision or dream.

If there is no scriptural antecedent for a spiritual "experience" there is nothing with which to test that experience and it must be rejected on face value. It may be genuine in other respects that have not been made apparent, but being taken out of "time" is not one.

Time travel itself has Hindu cultic origins in the Mahabharata (the great tale of the Bhārata dynasty) of the 8th or 9th century B.C. It is not supported in the Bible, hinted in the Bible, nor approved of in Scripture.

It is amazing that we can communicate with God who is outside of time, but that is because He is omnipresent. And we do have His Spirit which is not confined to the parameters of time as our physical bodies are. We are eternal beings communing with an eternal God.

Hi Suhar

While I can state that I believe I have been in the presence of God...that is, as we experience while still alive on this earth, through His Holy Spirit, I am wondering
about your reference to being out of time.

I am not sure where the 'there' is that you speak of.

Visions, dreams and whatever else scripture supplies the details of, is all within the realm of possibility for the Christian, but there are many many deceptions at work
in the world and unfortunately, believers are also susceptible to deception. That, is why we are commanded in scripture to test the spirits and to hold fast to the
truth.

An experience does not necessarily qualify as having come from God but I am not saying that what you experienced is not of God and you do not supply details
of your experience.

However, your expression, 'could not care less about you' is not Christian and does not show a concern for actually wanting only that which is true.

The New Testament teaches that no one believer can objectively state that they have had or do have experiences outside of scripture and beyond the examination
of other believers.

I realize, from your previously referenced statement, this may not be something you believe you need to consider. But, if you are or have recently become a Christian,
you should know that not everything that is spiritual has its source from God.

That you appear to have no concern for what other, more mature believers in Christ, may believe about your experience is a concern.

Then again, are you a Christian? Are you one who has accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and do you believe that He is the Son of God and has died in your place and rose
again on the third day?

Sorry for the questions, but I have learned the hard way that there is only one truth and many many lies and deceptions.
Have you ever seen The Unapproachable Light?
This is also of concern. This is not one of God's Names and God IS approachable through the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son.

I could not care less about hecklers and ridicules. In case if you did not notice there are few of them on this topic already.

I did not post it on the right date.

“You have not been outside of time, no one has and it is impossible.” (says you and tell that to Paul).

I am not here to argue till blue in the face. What I have seen is impossible to describe. Words and even concepts themselves to not exist in human mind. I am just struggling to live “normal” life with what I know. All I want is to go back and stay there but I am not suicidal by any means. Everything I look at, everything I touch is just dust that is holding together for some time in some shapes but the very time has no meaning outside of time so nothing that I see now has any meaning.
I get up every day, go to work, pay bills…. Somehow function on “normal” level but I feel like an actor forced to play my former self. I guess it is the separation of soul and spirit?

Over the years. Long before I had my experiences I met two people who have been outside of time. Both seemed to be somehow different. I do not know how to describe that exactly but I am now that way myself and I do not know how to deal with it.

I have been looking around for others that are like me now. Found one but he does not seem to want to talk to me much for some reason.

If you can explain what time is you should get Nobel prize right away. Nobody can explain it. All I know is that where God lives there is no time. There is no forever before or after there is just no time at all.
