I would like to know if anyone feels or Knows God has spoken to them through a dream and what He showed you came to fruition? I have very vivid dreams and last night I had one that was very ordinary to a degree but I was looking for my wife and could only ever catch glimpses of her. Or I would almost be to her and then she would disappear. Bearing in mind I am having marital problems..... So anyone have anything? I guess I'm kind of asking for a little help here.

I usually have ordinary dreams that are not vivid. These are influenced by what I have desired, done, seen, and heard.
I will on rare occasions have dreams that are quite unusual and not very vivid, but they foreshadow things I will see the next day. They serve no real purpose, and I do not believe them from God.
On other rare occasions I'll have vivid and memorable dreams where I learn something. They hint at God's will for myself or others. These I believe are from God.

Not that my experiences are particularly useful, because your normal is perhaps vivid dreams. In which case it could be a normal dream where your soul is expressing it's anxieties. God definitely wouldn't torment you with a dream like that, which serves no purpose but to make you more anxious.

I suppose that make sense. Its a good point. In the dream we were at some event and not matter how hard I tried I couldn't meet up with her. I kept seeing her but I couldn't get to her..... Waking up after that is not a very pleasant.

Lord, please be with this brother and his wife. Lord suround them with your peace. Bring to their minds and hearts the intentions, passions, and hopes of their first love. Jesus please deliever them from the evil one. Father if there is anything in this dream You want this brother to glean for the good of his marriage help him to know it clearly. Lord you know all the reasons for the struggles he and his wife are having; where repentence is needed let there be repentence and where forgiveness is needed, let there be forgiveness. Let there be restoration. Father if they have children, protect the kids. Father, I don't know this brother outside of this forum, but You know everything about him, suround Him with your peace. I pray for your mercy in this situation. Lord, for your name's sake, for your glory, work through your Holy Spirit on behalf of your son. Lord thank you for hearing, and seeing us. Thank you for loving us. We love You Father, and we praise You, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lord grant that this brother would be able to testify of the restoration of peace You bring His family to.

Can't say that I know... I believe that God can speak through dreams. But I sincerely doubt he does it often. Yet, I do believe that every dream we have is sent by God. But God does speak to me through reading the Bible and through the sermons I hear. Maybe even through "coincidental happenings" in my daily activities.

It's ok to look at dreams for messages, advice and such. But don't ignore the other methods, especially your Bible reading and what your Pastor it preaching. Often times my Pastor will preach a sermon that touches my problem, and I wonder how he knew my problem. The answer is he probably didn't, but God sent him the sermon, and it addressed my delemna.

I hope she doesn't mind me calling her out a bit, but I always chat with Angelina about some key dreams I have. She really does seem to have a gifting in this arena!

With that said, I have had 3 dreams in my life that I know were from the Lord. Others were likely just bad pizza or good imagination! I still remember each of the three very well to this day, and the images almost are seared into my memory whereas I tend to forget the other dreams. These dreams were highly allegorical, and often involved family or well known places to me. In each dream, there was almost a key linchpin statement or image that seemed to sum it all up, and there was this inexplicable sense of knowing more was going on.

With that said, if you feel that way about your dream, spend the time meditating on it and seeking God's will. Chances are that if you feel He is speaking to you, then He probably is speaking to you. Ask for Him for illuminate the dream and bring your own will in line with His. I will pray for you in this!

I have always been skeptic of taking advice from dreams as a whole. This particular one though, something about it seems a little deeper. I don't know. I have heard from God outside of dreams and based on that, I was trying to determine if He was speaking to me in this dream because It felt the same as when He has spoken to me on other occasions. Does that make sense?

God has told me to stay true, on course, and always bring Glory to Him through this. Not to get too far off topic but a few weeks ago I was having a complete and total melt down while coming home from the store and God essentially "slapped" me and said "you are not seeing what I am showing you. If your marriage is to be saved, she must be "saved" first." I about drove off the road!!! The intense feeling of joy and peace that raged over me in that moment was indescribable. I prayed on that. I asked the Lord to show me his will and work through me to bring her to Christ. That was met with monster resistance. She darn near became combative and the mention of it.

I've been slowly dropping little "seeds" here and there but man, her filter to block this stuff is thick. I want to give up sometimes and even agreed to the divorce. But I was quickly corrected and proclaimed I would fight for this.

Back on topic, I have had other dreams since where I'm not so sure. I had one a few nights after that one and in it my wife asked me what to do to become closer to Christ. That was nice but could not be farther from where her soul is at right now. So in that case, it was just a dream.

I have a hard enough time 'getting it' when I am awake :)
