Good Friday Prayer of Thanks

Dear Jesus,
We remember today, the pain and suffering of the cross, and all that Jesus was willing to endure, so we could be set free. He paid the price, such a great sacrifice, to offer us the gift of eternal life.

Help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love on our behalf. Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all. Forgive us for being too busy, or sometimes distracted by other things. But know for sure we love you and appreciate this wonderful gift you have given us.

Thank you, Lord, that by your wounds we are healed. Thank you that because of your huge sacrifice we can live free. Thank you that sin and death have been conquered and that your Power is everlasting. Amen

We are oh so grateful Lord for how deeply you suffered and for what you have done for us while we were yet sinners. Thank you for blessing us so much with provisions and blessings that we do not at all deserve, and not giving us what we DO deserve.

I must pinch myself daily to remember that you love me, the unlovable but you do. My gratitude could never equal your death, resurrection and forgiveness that you have bestowed on me Gracious Father.
Forgive us our foolish ways Holy Father and thank you for your Son!
This is a bittersweet day, Amen.

Thank you loving Father as we remember the mighty, awesome work that this day is remembered for. The day the sin of mankind was atoned for by the blood of the sacrificial Lamb. Thank you for your love and Holy Presence in our lives.

Heavenly Father, Thank you with all my heart for loving us, for sending Jesus to rescue us, to rescue me! Please work in me, and each of us, that we may walk worthy of your so very great love!
