None of us will live out our lives, always doing good, we do grow weary and we don't take every opportunity to do good.

This doesn't mean that we can lose our salvation, but it does mean that each of us shall be rewarded according to our works. Many Christians believe that everyone who enters the Kingdom of God will receive the same reward, but the bible doesn't say this.

Cor 3:15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Rev 22:12 And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

There are many scriptures which speak about the varying rewards believers receive in heaven, just as there are varying degrees of punishment in hell. So God rewards and punishes each individual according to his works.
Paul says it like this

Titus 2:14
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

1 Tim 6, I am in total agreement

Instructions to the Rich

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,

Titus 3:18

8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

And from the Lord Jesus.
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

I know it is not a 'popular' message to talk about doing good works with people who focus only on the truth about how Grace thru Faith , God's Grace saves us, the reality is God still is in the us doing good work business for His being glorified among the nations. If you want to have His favor and follow Him in all your ways and doings in your life, do the things He says to do in His words.

Daniel 9:4
And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,

John 14:21
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Ephesians 2

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Our doing good works is one of the reasons we have been created in Christ Jesus, believe it or not.

If that were true, you would have posted the verse that says this. Too bad you just ignored the theological implication I wrote regarding this idea means Jesus is not the Savior since he did not pay the price for sin.
I'm not sure if your aware of the fact that Jesus is not the Savior for everyone and He never paid the price for everyone's sin. Jesus came into the world to save "ONLY THOSE THE FATHER GAVE HIM", only those the Father elected before He created the world, only those who God chose to save before He created the world, only those who God wrote their names in His book before He created the world, will be saved.

Only God's elect will be saved and nobody else. You can search the entire bi9ble and you will never find Gods saving a singe unelected person, and there is not a single promise to save a ingle unelected person made after Jesus ascended to heaven. This false Arminian idea that, some names can be added to Gods book is abominable, that lie comes from the pits of hell.

Salvation is only for Gods elect and nobody else, you saying that Jesus came to save every single person is not true. God hates the lie that He wants to save everyone, because that would mean that God is pure evil. Only an evil person loves evil, a righteous person hates evil, so why would he want to love it and save it.

God prepared the lake of fire to be a place where He will torment the Devil and His Angels and all those people who rebelled against God as they did. God will torment all of them in the lake of fire for all eternity, if you don't know this fact, then I suggest you do a study on the bible doctrine of hell. That way you will be equipped with the facts, so you can make comments based on the facts rather than emotions as you have done here.

There is not enough room here to list all the scriptures that confirm that hell is a place of eternal torment, where people will be tormented for all eternity with no hope of ceasing to exist or escaping the flames. Below are just 100 bible verses confirming this truth, there are more but if 100 is not enough then I rest my case.

These exhortations to goods works are encouraging, but the sad reality is as Paul described it in;

Romans 7,
For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.

We see that Paul wills to do good works, but there's another law in him which causes him to practice evil instead.

Paul can only be describing our old sin nature, which still cries out to have it's lust fulfilled. We war against lust, throughout our entire lives but we don't get the final victory in this life. That's why Jesus paid for every past, present and future sin for Gods people. He knows that we will continue to sin for the rest of our lives, there's no way around it.

No born again believer can resist temptation for for very long at all, we sin every few moments, so we can't even go a single day without sinning. Some fool themselves into thinking that they can somehow go a day without succumbing to the temptation to sin, but nobody has ever succeeded in achieving this impossible task.

Nobody is disputing what Matthew 10 is saying, it's obvious so it doesn't require any interpretation.

As for the supposed contradiction in hating your family and loving your enemy, as you already know there are many different types of love and hate. So the question is invalid, because it's based on a false premise.

I simply stated that I obey Christ, and I follow His exhortation to hate my family and myself and I love my enemies just as He commanded me to do. There's no point in trying to turn what Jesus said into some kind of silly game to gain points. You either obey Him or you don't, it that simple.
It is necessary to compare "hate (presumed apostate) father and mother" with "love (definitively apostate) father or mother more than Me" - because the comparison disproves your claim that "hate always means absence of love".

Understand?

See, an honest Bible scholar would say:

"You're right, Phoneman, it makes ZERO sense to say we're to have zero love in our heart ("hate") towards unconverted parents, but love Samaritans who practice warped theology...and if the only way to maintain Scriptural harmony is to conclude that "hate" doesn't always mean "absence of love" but can also mean "love less" - then Calvinism is wrong to appeal to these "hate" verses for support of it."

You're still failing to grasp the fact that there are many different types and levels of hate, just as there are with love. You're trying to marry hate and love at their fringes, but this will never work because it's the same as blending truth with lies or good with evil.

Hate can never be watered down to mean love less, those who hate the truth invented that idea to make this harsh doctrine more acceptable to seeker friendly Churches.

Here is something to ponder, the righteous is scarcely saved

Scarcely is a word that means
only just; almost not:

1 Peter 4
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now

“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

And Christ tells us when He comes this

Rev 22
12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Peter also tells us if you want to have a rich welcome with Christ, God being glorified in the Day of His visitation, (return), of which he begs the beloved, that they have good works which brings glory to God the Father, our faithful Creator .

11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Due to our flesh, we cannot be good all the time, but we can do some good out of love.
1 John 4:19
We love Him because He first loved us.

Definitely love the brethren and do good to all as you are able, especially so for the brethren.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love [a]Him because He first loved us.

Obedience by Faith

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, [b]how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Jesus is not the savior for ANYONE is the price of sin is not death but ECT (eternal conscious torment) since he did not pay that price.
ECT (eternal concise torment) is death, that's what the second death is all about. We know that there is no such thing as cessation of existence, so death in the bible is described as a state of being.

Every unregenerate, unconverted person lives in a state of spiritual death. The physical body is nothing but dust, so dust has no soul or spirit, it's just inanimate, unconcise organic matter, it's a physical temple for the soul.

Some think that the lake of fire is symbolic, because they foolishly think that God will not reunite them with their body on the day of judgement. But the sad truth is that, everybody will be resurrected back into their bodies. But those who died in their sin will inherit a corrupt body fit for eternal torture, and saved people will inherit a perfect, glorified sinless body fit for eternal paradise.

I appreciate you sharing these scriptures which confirm that good works are evidence of the believers faith. I don't think any Christian would deny the fact that a born again believers profession of faith in the Lord must be evidenced by good works.

We would all agree that faith without works is dead, just as works without faith are dead. So every born again believer will do good works, as he is led by the Holy Spirit, who causes him to do good works out of obedience to the Lord. We don't do good works because we are good, but we do them because He is good.

We want to show Him our appreciation for saving us from the penalty our sins deserve, so we strive to obey Him. But we still struggle against our old sin nature as it cries out to have it's lust satisfied, sadly we don't always overcome this temptation of the flesh and we fall. But that God He has paid for all of these future sins already.

It's all well and good to exhort each other to do good works, but we must be prepared to dead with those times we are overcome by the temptation to sin. If we're not prepared for them, they could become besetting sins which drag us backwards into a back slidden state, which is far more painful than repenting immediately.

Yes this is an issue of our walk with Christ, following His commandments and being obedient to the Lord, which the elect will be enabled by God to do as it is He who sanctifies us. We must never be overcome by the trials of this world, we should keep on looking forward and walking with God, we overcome the world by our faith in Him. God says we will ultimately be overcomers, or we are not His people.

The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is shrouded in mystery. As you have rightly pointed out, God enables His elect to walk in obedience to His commandments, while He sanctifies us.
I'm glad you made it clear that it is the Lord working through us, that enables us to obey Him. Many Christians believe that their obedience and good works are the result of exercising their choice to do good or evil.

Those who God has regenerated, converted and made alive with a new heart, obey God willingly because we were on death row before we were saved. We are pleased to obey the Lord, because of what He has done for us and because He is most worthy of our praise, worship and obedience. We don't obey to be saved, as those who hold to the Arminian works based gospel do. We obey because we have been saved, so we hold to an entirely different gospel message.

We strive against the flesh at all times and God will give us the final victory in the life to come, but we still wont win every battle while we're in this body of death.
We are exhorted to pray always, and to put on the whole armor of God, because we wrestle against a powerful enemy. We fight three enemies, first is our flesh, then Satan, then the world. All three are stronger than we are, but thank God they are not stronger than the One who is in us.

I don't know how the Holy Spirt works in us to keep us from falling away, it's a mystery but He does keep every single one of us from falling away and He will present each and every one of us to the Lord God as righteous and justified. He who began a good work will finish it.

I don't know how the Holy Spirt works in us to keep us from falling away, it's a mystery but He does keep every single one of us from falling away and He will present each and every one of us to the Lord God as righteous and justified. He who began a good work will finish it.
Paul describes this in this way

From Suffering to Glory

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [f]corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession [g]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Just my two cents for what it’s worth.

I would rather word it like...Gods Hatred for the sin that is in the world.

Not disputing what you say, I just worded it differently..
I agree Gods hatred of sinners doesn't sound nice, but the truth is awful and there's nothing we can do about it. God doesn't only hate the sin, but He also hates the sinner.

We have many examples of God showing His hatred of sinners, such as killing every man, woman, child and pregnant woman with a world wide flood. He only spared 8 people and chose to show them His mercy and love, then there are all the other examples like Sodom and Gamora, and the time His Angel killed 186,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night and the time He ordered His people to slaughter an entire ethnic group of people, again that meant every man, woman and child.

The same God that killed those billions of people will do it gain when He returns as a Man of War and kills billions again. You don't kill people you love, and you don't torment people in the lake of fire for all eternity unless you hate them.

In my opinion and perhaps lacking insights.

Gods wrath and anger was toward his obstinate people for killing his son.

I don’t think or believe that God hates anyone today.

He still hates attitudes but not people.

God sends the rain on the just and unjust.

Google: 7 things the Lord hates.

If you believe God hates people; I don’t think you’re of the right mind nor in harmony with the spirit of Yahavah but of some other elk.

God is angry with sinners everyday, He sends them rain to fatten them up for the slaughter. When I love my enemy and do good to him, it actually means he will suffer more torment in hell because it makes him more accountable for continuing in his sin and rebellion.

Every unbeliever is guilty of murdering Gods Son, God doesn't only hate those who crucified Him. Fallen man would crucify Christ all over again if they could. There is nothing good in any unbeliever, their hearts are wicked above all things, so what's to love about an unbeliever.

[6] For the most High hateth sinners, and will repay vengeance unto the ungodly, and keepeth them against the mighty day of their punishment. [7] Give unto the good, and help not the sinner. [8] A friend cannot be known in prosperity: and an enemy cannot be hidden in adversity.
