and who remind all to return to the bible to learn him . How often would i have gathered thee

Having no idea this all inclusive unity common ground lie has preached both another jesus and gospel unto thee .
The all inclusive lovers would accuse JESUS HIMSELF of not knowing love , not knowing Christ , not knowing GOD .
SOmething has went dead wrong and its about time we got back into bibles to FIGURE this out .

I reject the evolutionist millions of years approach, and I do not follow the literal approach of the Creation Scientist. If you look at the literal translations like the YLT and the Literal Standard Version, it is written in the present tense as Moses narrates it. I take it to mean Moses is relating this to his contemporaries, and down to us in a way we can have an idea of where Eden was.

"And a river is going out from Eden to water the garden, and from thence it is parted, and hath become four chief rivers; the name of the one is Pison, it is that which is surrounding the whole land of the Havilah where the gold is, and the gold of that land is good, there is the bdolach and the shoham stone; and the name of the second river is Gibon, it is that which is surrounding the whole land of Cush; and the name of the third river is Hiddekel, it is that which is going east of Asshur; and the fourth river is Phrat." (Gen 2:10-14 YLT)

Both the NRSV & NRSVue keep the present tense. Are we justified in projecting this description of Moses' day, to back before the flood in such a literal fashion? At creation did they have those names or exactly how did the rivers relate to what was at the creation.

I suppose though, since God did not explain it to us, we can rest assured it is not needful that we know for certain. :)

So, this says: God is the Savior of all people, and... that will include "believers". Very good news.
His salvation of all will include "believers". As a subset of all.

So, why are believers so hard to save? They are trapped in a religious mindset. IMHO

Come on, do you really believe that EVERYONE who calls themselves "Christian" will be saved?
Will you be saved because you belong to this or that church? Or by your stellar works portfolio?

Actually, in UR the "what or who" does matter, but it's not a salvation issue.
In fact the "what or who" even matter for believers, who will be the HARDEST to save.
I imagine believers quote scripture at Jesus because they don't want to be judged for their works.
Jesus even talked about this. (talk about "no matter what"!!!) - LOL

But it begs the question about whether the flood was actually global, or only local.
There is however, plenty of other evidence that points to a global flood.

This raises some serious questions about God. Planetary genocide as a cover-up?
As if an omniscient God didn't see this coming? What sort of God would do that?
But there we are with our flannel board pictures teaching our children about

I quickly re-read the account in Genesis chapters six and seven.
Seems I remembered being told as a child that Noah had told the people to repent.
But that they had mocked and ridiculed him instead. Anyone else remember that?
I see none of that in the text.

This was yet another cover-up, this time by the church.
Obviously to absolve God from global genocide. Wow.
