Why would something fall short of good/god, unless it was sin?
How can imperfection not fall short of good/god, if it's not equal to God?
God is perfect. Imperfections aren't perfect
Babies r imperfect, perfect isn't babies
I would suggest to you to not be rash about jumping to absolute conclusions about big things like you assert at your age. You are 24? So your brain isn't even fully developed yet. You may be at that age where you feel like you know it all, and I speak from experience because I was at that same place mentally when I was your age. I just turned 62 years old recently. So it's easy for me to look back and say wow, I was a idiot back then and have learned soo many things since then that it's obvious to me that wisdom comes with time. It did for me, it will for you.
You have a well intentioned mistake about your conclusion and so it would be a good idea to listen to what us older folks are saying to you. You have made a mistake and are wrong. Everyonne cant be wrong! Roll with it, we've all made blunders before.
Give it time. Read the entire Bible from cover to cover. When you pick it up and read little blurbs so make guesses about things you can easily be wrong because that particular assertion of yours just happened to be addressed in Dueteronomy. And it's that way with a lot of things in scripture. It's like God shuffled the lessons before it went to print, so you have to read it all and get the big picture.
When Adam & Eve were in the garden of Eden, they had one rule to live by and be obediant to God...Don't eat that one particular tree. Eat everything else but not that one tree. They disobeyed God and so that had effects upon the them and the whole earth because of A&E's Disobediance. They died spiritually that day and the earth was brought under a curse because of the disobediance. Here we are 6000 years or so later and the earth is still under that curse.
And if you read the entire Bible, you will see that it talks a lot about planting seeds. A seed is not imperfect, nor is it a Pear tree, so in a sense a seed is an imperfect Pear tree. But if one is patient and plants the seed and gives it time, it will grow and develop and will soon begin to bear fruit and therein is the perfection realized. Understand?
It's the same thing with me. It's the same thing with you. Understand how life works. You must grow and develop before you will begin to bear fruit. If you continue learning. If you can't own your mistakes, then how shall you grow and learn? Own your mistake and learn and grow brother. Move on and learn, pray about it.
Don't lobotimize yourself and through pride & ego make it more about being right rather than what is the truth. When someone gets lobotomized then they will not develop and are the mental age of 3 yrs old or so. We have to be teachable and willing to learn to stop the Lobotomy.
