Hi all! Should have posted here first, but now 3 or 4 other posts later it's about time to make a proper entry into the community.

Belong to the Protestant Church in Europe. Was baptized shortly after birth, and then Confirmed (if that is what you call in in English?) at the age of 14. Have had periods with faith on and off since then. Recently came to the conclusion that it feels very wrong to turn to the Father only when life is hard. The faith should be permanent and always sincere. So, I have just started my journey as fully devoted. I am diagnosed Bipolar Type 2, which means life has it's ups and downs. Literally. My daughter also have shown suicidal behaviour the past year, so we are really struggling at times.

Planning to join a church on the 1st of december. At this time, not really sure which one. Figure I will test them all out and go with the one I like best.

It feels great to be here. As a newbie there so many questions!

Talk to you soon. God bless.

Hi, I just answered you in another topic.

Glad you are here. Day by day with the Lord's help is how we can get through the trials of life. I'm glad you are going to find a church soon.

and what church should he go and sit under . the mormon , the RCC , those who preach interfaith .
My advice is GET this man INTO THE BIBLE so as HE can learn for himself and test all men .
Oh i know we do gather with others who do beleive . what we dont do , however , is just go find a church
I know , i know , man had complicated things .
But its time we preach JESUS the CHRIST and get all into those bibles for themselves
so as they can learn what MOST MEN NO LONGER TRULY TEACH and RIGHTLY DIVIDE .
very sad fact , makes me weep sister , makes me weep . But i have seen far too many headed
through bad leadership into the unity which will choke the WORD RIGHT OUT OF ANY who fellowships with said men .
I mean CHOKE IT RIGHT OUT . too many are far infected with the delusion that is leading all to the great inclusion
of the Second death .

@Turbulento When you visit some churches ask the pastor if they believe in the Bible as the inerrant, infallible Word of God. Divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.

(These years there are some churches that have gone way liberal and even Woke.)

If you have any Baptist churches, they are usually sound.

I live in a very (VERY) secular country. The state church have been losing participants rapidly the past 25 years or more. Today, only a handfull (or even less than a handfull) take part in the service every sunday. The average age is 75+ years. However, according to the news yesterday, the members of the church are once again increasing! It's mainly the youth returning.

But for the reasons above, some free churches have merged only to be able to survive. It is a sad fact. One really can"t join a specific church anymore over here. So, when I say I don't know which one to join - the choice is really between a less populated church on the countryside (where I live ) or a more busy church in a city (one hour drive).

The largest free church ("Uniting Church") is today a combination of Methodists, Baptists and a few other minor churches. Second largest is Pentecostal. Smallest is Evangelical Lutheran Church with only 30 active members, nationwide!

Just try to find somewhere to worship where they believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God. And teach it as such.

Amen @Debp, most Baptist Churches are biblically sound in their doctrine and great for new believers and those growing in grace.

Check out this link Turbulento, ReDiscovering God It's a dialog. It's engaging, informative and light hearted. It gives encouragement and good insight into the God Jesus knew.
I live remote and therefore don't frequent any fellowship. It's a lifeline for me.

@Turbulento You can also find good teachers of the Word on YouTube...such as Dr. David Jeremiah.

Dr. Colin Smith is also very good....he has a series called "Meet Jesus", this is the opening teaching/video in the series. You can view all of his teachings if you click on his YouTube channel.
