Fear is the root of all violence

It appears to all be tied together. I'm sure God hates it when people put the fear of men ahead of him. When people don't love the truth enough to oppose the influences of this world. How many will be condemned because of their own unbelieving father and mother?

There was a fear among the Jews that if any one looked upon God, they would die. Remember how Adam & Eve hid from God in the garden? One could say it was God's holiness that they feared as that sinful nature being in them now, could kill them instantly, instead of slowly killing them. God had to provide a covering for them which in turns is symbolic of putting on Christ to be able to come to God the Father in Heaven as it is by Christ in us is how we can live with God forever.

John 3:18-21 testify that God knows whom are seeking Him from those that are not, and explained why those that are not drawn to the light because God knew they love their evil deeds and do not want to be reproved of them by the light. So one could say that fearing being reproved of their evil deeds is the fearful part of the unbelievers. It could be a kind of despicable fear as they want nothing to do with the light and so they slink away into darkness and eventually to a place where no goodness dwells; hell & the lake of fire.

Prov:3:7: Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

　
As ususal most so called, Christians, insist that what the politically correct society says must be true. And God doesn’t know what He is talking about.

For one, violence isn’t evil nor is fear:

Ex:9:30: But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

Which was a big mistake on Pharaoh’s part.

Deut:6:2: That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

　
But there is a improper place and proper place for things like fear and violance. If you don’t do what your boss tells you to do that you accepting the job agreed to do. You will be fired. You’re an idiot if you don’t fear that, especially if your family depends on it.
If you don’t treat Jesus as your King, Master you are already in error. Even a rabbit is wise enough to fear what a dog will do, and if the rabbit don’t it will cost him his life most likly.

Also in the case of violence the Lord God of Israel was referred to as the Lord of Hosts meaning the outcome of the battle (a violent activity of armies) was according to His Judgement. And when the Lord was with Israel out in the dessert it was God’s full intention of having the Israelites massacre the inhabitants of what is now Israel. And what are the angels of the Lord to do when Jesus returns, isn’t there some reference to blood to the height of the horse’s bridal?

For the successful spreading of the Gospel we who are to spread it are instructed to refrain from violence when it comes to the cause. The Lord’s offering of peace with God isn’t supposed to be threatening. But fear and violence has it’s proper place.
There are many who think to turn "God is love" into what they want it to mean. But it’s disrespectful to disregard all other scripture when considering "God is love". Also many like to think that God is love like a 13 year old girl thinks of a teenaged pop star. They done know the pop star, but they know what they imagine him to be.

Violence is a response usually deemed necessary, correctly or incorrectly, to achieve something, could be survival could be to take something that belongs to another, could be to protect what is loved, could be to recover what was lost.

When it comes to fear, we are all vulnerable. You can see it most in the words and actions of those who clench their way through life, politics and religion. Over-identification with an ideology or doctrine is a red flag for someone who is actually terrified of losing something. We need to be vigilant in identifying our fears and sacrificing them to God because faith is the antidote to fear, which is the only solution to fanatical violence in our world.

So, what are you afraid of? How is your fear playing a role in your need to control, your need for certainty?

Fear is not always bad, and i disagree that people who have strong ideology are somehow.. what? pathological about it? something is not right psychologicallY? Actually i have found that it is people who do NOT believe in anything strongly who are pathological.. They lie, they do whatever they can to get ahead.. one of our so-called Republican candidates is that way.. no core principles. His god is winning. and it is the only god that controls him. HE cannot be trusted and i hope no one here votes for him (or anywhere else)
