Yes we should test all things. Of course those who teach falsehoods want those false teachings accepted so they are keen to say one shouldnt judge what is right and what is false. A lot of debate on Christian forums involves liberals playing a role of nice mediator between those defending the word and those introducing heresy; thus compromising.

Oftentimes the truth is hated for even being acknowledged, much less spoken. Before the world hated us, they hated Christ.

Liberalism really sucks the life from a Christian, as the teachings of our Lord isn't that of oneness and world harmony, its about personal responsibility and liberals always like to find somewhere else to point the finger than the real problem.

warrior,
I will give you a clue, study the real thing. Read all of the way through the entire Book, using an interlinary and concordance for any part that might not be clear and make sure all scripture lines up with all scripture. Leave all preconceived notions behind. Use none of the Papal doctrine as Catholic dogma is from paganism. A study of Biblical history will confirm this. Read as a child would, as God loves children and we are told that we must enter as a child. Children have no preconceived notions they are a clean slate and have no agenda that they must protect.

Blessings be upon you! This is probably the most wisdom I have found here, most are to busy 'proving' their point. Why can't we study the Word for what it says, and accept it for the truth that is in it?

You may not be popular, Sabitarian, but you're not without friends and kindred spirits. I especially liked your phrase, "Leave all preconceived notions behind". I also believe that it is important to read the Word of God afresh rather than continuing to view it through doctrinal spectacles that warp the true meaning of each passage and remove it's spiritual essence from it's full context.
