I don't think videos of money hungry conmen blaspheming God is proof physical healing by faith does not happen .

I know someone whose life was saved through prayer. They're in their 60's today. And their healing occurred when they were a child not expected to live through the week .

I think if someone is certain faith does not heal physical maladies they will be proven correct.

Because they have more faith in what God cannot do than in what he will.

Hello Tomorrow,

I just realized something, that even the word miracle is not in the bible.

Scripture has no single word that is translated “miracle.” The English word “miracle” comes from the Latin term miraculum, which merely refers to something that evokes wonder

Very interesting video (shows people in churches and them explaining things of what they believe or why they believe in 'miracles')

Also @Tomorrow your friend, being cured of whatever was going on with them, is praise worthy to God, cause I suppose God still needed them here. Do you stay in contact with them?

Miracles

Scripture has no single word that is translated “miracle.” The English word “miracle” comes from the Latin term miraculum, which merely refers to something that evokes wonder.

Here is the rest.

There are four primary Greek words translated as miracle: works (ergon), wonders (teras), powers (dunamis), and signs (semeion). These various terms are used because no single term can possibly exhaust all the significance of a miracle. These words do not depict different kinds of miracles. They portray the miracles from different perspectives. Miracles in the New Testament: (1) are not associated with spells or incantations (the power was in Jesus); (2) were not performed to punish, but to rescue people from physical and spiritual forces; (3) provide testimony to Jesus’ supernatural power and authority. The “Grand Miracle” is the Incarnation and is at the very heart of the message of Scripture.

And it continues here---http://greekwordstudies.blogspot.com/2007/03/miracles.html?m=1#:~:text=Scripture%20has%20no%20single%20word,to%20something%20that%20evokes%20wonder.

I believe that Jesus, and his apostles healed and did what they needed to to show unbelievers at the time that God was with them.

Matthew 10

New King James Version

The Twelve Apostles

10 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and [a]Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the [b]Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

Sending Out the Twelve

5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven [c]is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, [d]cleanse the lepers, [e]raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, 10 nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
11 “Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. 12 And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

I never read the word miracle in the bible personally. I don't recall it ever, @Tomorrow. Do you have a scripture that you could point me too?

Acts 4:30 - By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

John 4:48 - Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Acts 3:16 - And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Mark 16:17 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Matthew 17:20 - And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

John 14:12 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Acts 19:11 - And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

John 11:4 - When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 - Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

@Tomorrow, I stand corrected.

But I am not skeptic of God being able to have the miracle of the change of heart which is better than anything else compared to what the apostles themselves had done.

From a dark heart to a heart of light is a big miracle considering our heart, are full of darkness.

That Which Defiles

7 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. 3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.[a])

5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”

6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:

“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[b]
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”

9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[c] your own traditions! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’[d] and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[e] 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15 Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” [16] [f]

17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)

20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

The greatest miracle is the saving of a soul.
The angels rejoice over one soul that is saved!

:( My heart isn't full of darkness.

It is full of Holy Spirit. Now at the laundry mat hoping God's angels calm an angry drunk guy down .

There are countless numbers of people out there who have claimed to be healed by others, however still died from cancer or other ailments.

This not to knock God who can perhaps heal something inside of you, but that doesn't even mean God had a touch at all either... You might have started eating right and your ailments start healing up. You may have just simply stopped worry as much and had less an anxiety and your ailments heal up as you trust God even if you were to die.

So what is there to believe about these things?

Thank you for sharing a story, of long ago, Amadeus, I am skeptical of it.
there are christian doctors that investigate claims of healing. In follow ups, they find that many were not really healed. It is a professional group

The old timers in my Pentecostal Holiness Church used to testify that, “The Lord has healed my body time and time again.” In which did not matter much to a teenager but does much more so now. I am here to testify as well that the Lord has also healed my body time and time again and have appreciated prayers such as this one…

I am white, with tough luck going in, of Scottish descent, and at one time a very negative guy. In the 1990's our factory hired several VT football players who were all black and of Word of Faith doctrine. In all my years of knowing these guys I have never once heard the first negative word out of their mouth, everything they spoke was faith. They called me, "McCwowt" and would say things like...

"Do you know what over comes fear McCwowt? Action! Action overcomes fear"

"I'm getting out of here McCwowt" And then lay out some plan of escape. They would also come to me asking...

"What are you believing God for McCwowt?" And expect some great plan that would bring joy to their hearts. They were all brought up Word of Faith and I understand why they won the Peach Bowl back in 1986 as they were all faith talkers. They were very schooled in the Word of Faith. If you had any pains at all they would offer to pray for you right then and there. They also broke me of my negative talk and for that I am eternally grateful.

I ended up getting two AAS degrees Magna Cum Laude and worked my way up to Lab Technician. I have also came through sickness in which there was little hope. How does one deal with immense doubt? I would recommend cutting ones teeth on Word of Faith doctrine... Moving on once the faith is in place.

still dont know Rocky.

No one can judge your experince, and as we age, sure things hurt.

It will never stop death nor decay of the body.

Exercising, eating right helps a little, but not as much as godliness ( devoting oneself to God)

Remeber when Jacob had to walk with a limp for the rest of his life when He wrestled with God?

He wasnt ever healed of that infliction.

So therefore whike some may say “its little faith”, i never seen some raise the dead, or put hands on domeone and cure their sickness; but there is the cure that deals with the heart and jesus is the answer and solution, allowing God to work on the heart and mind.
