Faith healings don't happen anymore; can you prove otherwise? (Either the age has passed or it has not)

You can subjectively apply anything JEsus Christ had said to you if you want @amadeus

However some things can leave a person hopeless if they 'cant perform it' so there has to be some type explianiation of why they cant.

Either that Age has ended

or they are just a person with little faith that cant heal someone - of course as you said - God is the healer - and you as a Christian bring Christ and the Word which is able to renew the heart and the mind.

I dont doubt Jesus, and I believe he was the very word of God that when God spoke Gods Word created.

At the end of the day, no one can prove to me they can lay hands on people and heal them.

You may look at what is said as though I doubt Jesus, and you probably - desire me to not doubt - but I dont doubt Jesus, nor do I doubt what he said to his disciples, maybe only in Mark 16, however.

What was said to them, and also as I suggested to @Wynona, subjectively, go try and heal someone and see what happens but do not lose faith if it doesn't come about.

You also have other scriptures that can be looked at.

Did Jesus tell me to go heal?

Did Paul ever say that to those that are in America - or did he say to those in Corinthians.


And why doesn't healing work today? In the same manner then.

If you doubt that it is possible does that make you less of a Christian?

People should love God regardless if they are able to heal another person or not...

People should be glad that Jesus Christ makes them right with God and they can have peace in their life, and they have a Father in heaven they can pray to and ask to help them by the holy spirit.

I'll just add, God has used me to heal. But, someone has to ask and want to. God has healed backs, neck bone cartilage, stroke patients, weak kidneys and more through me. The gift of healing is God working through you.

Very subjective. I can't confirm or deny your experience.

As long as you mean the poisons as doctrine things and not tempt the Lord with trying to hurt yourself to really see if you get hurt and have Him repair it for you.

The Body is made of many members. Some of the members are here, on these forums. You can see them by their fruit. And some times they need encouragement, for the way can be hard. Some times, they need to hear a testimony of The Goodness of The Lord and His Faithfulness. And for the sake of this thread I will share a testimony from a few days ago. I had to take my dog to the vet for his rabbies shot and his allergies. As I was there, I noticed a woman was missing and the guy vet took care of me. He told me the woman was not doing very well as a tick disease was getting the best of her. He told me she only comes in when she can. Her and I have talked before about The Lord. While my dog was getting his shot I heard that she had just arrived. When my dog was done I picked him up and held him on my left side. I then walked down to the room she was at. As she saw me, she was sweeping and I said, so I heard you are not doing so well. I then said, do you believe? Do you believe these words, For those that believe, you shall lay your hands on the sick and they will(shall) recover? She then said, "I believe." I then leaned forward, and with my right hand placed it on her shoulder and prayed briefly. I then said, "you will be fine," and turned around and walked off. So it is known, I had no plan for this, but this was His plan and His doing. I know she will be fine as I believe all of My Fathers words, and they are many, and if He said it, it will come to pass. I have written this here not to bring glory to myself as I am nothing, the least of His children, but that we may believe. The next day, the devil came with the thought as I was in the flesh, "What if she is not healed, what will you do then" I simply spoke out loud, "not so, she will be fine. The Lord said it. I believe it, so it will so."

There is only one miracle I do believe in and it is the changing of an individuals heart. From old person to a new person through the resurrection of Christ.

There are Christians out there that believe you can be healed, and all you need is faith.

Now let me tell you, there is a healing that I do believe in but it is not phsyical, it's spiritual. It's the spiritual renewing of the born again heart of a newborn Christian who is renewed by and through the spirit once they make the decision that through that narrative of the Gospel and the letters, that Yeshua is the Lord of Lord and King of Kings, and they go to the cross and die with him, and are buried with their old man with him, and raised again with him in newness of life.

All through the Narrative you have apostles and some disciples out there healing others, even making a beggars ankles healed in front of the beautiful gate, in the name of Jesus Christ.

But why doesn't thinks like this happen today??

It's because the age that once was done away with an no longer needed. Jesus healed phsyically to show he was from God, it was God who healed by and through him, and then you have the Apostles who went and healed, even cast out demons, even raised the dead. Sometimes they did not have enough faith, or it required fasting and prayer for something ot be cast out.

However you have these people out here playing games with peoples hearts:

Like I stated before there is only one type of healing and it is the healing of the human soul from darkness into light, by and through faith in the resurrected Christ Jesus, and learning the word of God.

However, can you prove to anyone, that you have been healed psyhcally because of faith and someone laid hands on you to do such?

It would be harder than a whip stretched out to hit a dolphin on the nose in the middle of the sea if you ask me to prove that it has happened to you.

Can God though do miracles, and have a cancer shrink? Sure, can God also use DOCTORS to help you get cancer out sure?

But how can these signs that were once DOMINATE in the first century timeline, have just ceased to exist as it seems today, nothing like such wonders of a blind man can really be able to be healed to see, or a woman with 12 years worth of problems have her back straightend up when Jesus was there, or how about a widow who just lost his Son and Jesus rose him up and gave him back to him.

ARe these not all pictures and types of psyhcial healings that could be seen as pictures and types of spiritual healings of the mind/will/emotion, like the woman with the blood problem, set her eyes on jesus and she was healed can that not be a story of a person who suffered from 12 years of drug related problems and looked towards Jesus and was healed today?

I don't think videos of money hungry conmen blaspheming God is proof physical healing by faith does not happen .

I know someone whose life was saved through prayer. They're in their 60's today. And their healing occurred when they were a child not expected to live through the week .


I think if someone is certain faith does not heal physical maladies they will be proven correct.

Because they have more faith in what God cannot do than in what he will.
