Are you also in the pick and choose club? "Symbolism"? That's JW tactics!
.
.

It's not a matter of picking and choosing. The nuances of interpretation are real and genuine. We have this treasure in earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7). No one (not even non-"JW"s) gets a pass on rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Not at all, I understand that there are parts that are symbolic and parts that are literal. That is not JW tactics, but the truth. You were given an example of that symbolism.

That is Kingdom Hall doctrine. The parts they don't like are "symbolic".

And yet, parts of the Bible being symbolic are indeed truth. You were given examples of that truth, so it was placed right in front of your eyes.

I'll give you another one. "You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself." Exodus 19:4

Now, do you think that the entire nation of Israel was carried on an Eagles wings?

You really don't understand this?
Exodus 20
11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.

I am a died in the wool Creationist. I do not subscribe to any form of Evolution besides within species: I believe species can evolve only to adapt, but that no species can evolve into another species. Ex: frog to a bird, etc.

Cast your vote now.
I am like you, I just don't think Evolution changes the species.

Take a look at a butterfly, if it could just go back to being a caterpillar at random, why would it ever develop eggs?

I trust God with my response to selection pressure now; I don't need the world to tell me "you came from a monkey"!

Exodus 20

Again, it does allow for evolution. So, yes I understand it.

Do you still think the whole Bible is to be taken literally after what I showed you?

It does not say nor imply evolution? Maybe you don't think God could create everything in six days? And God confirms "six days".
Exodus 31 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.' "

ZERO evolution in the Bible.

There is nothing there that says it cannot be evolution either. He made what He made in six days and left the rest to evolution.

I don't know why people get so upset over someone believing in evolution. It is not a salvation issue.

Do you have a response to my recent questions or do you now realize that not everything in the Bible is to be taken literally and the Bible does involve symbolism to explain things at times?

You've been duped by Liberals who HATE Jesus and our Bible!

Because it's calling our God a liar!

That's no argument whatsoever. You can't make our Bible "symbolism" just because there's parts you don't like. Show us "evolution" in the Bible or stop this attack on our God.

I've been duped by no one.

Because it's calling our God a liar!

And yet, it doesn't call God a liar. If you don't want to believe that Evolution could happen and that God allows for it, that is you're right. I haven't argued that your position is wrong. What I have signed is that it isn't a salvation issue. If people want to believe Evolution and are Christian, there is nothing wrong with that. They are still saved Christians.

That's no argument whatsoever. You can't make our Bible "symbolism" just because there's parts you don't like. Show us "evolution" in the Bible or stop this attack on our God.

I haven't made parts of the Bible I don't like symbolism, nor have I said the whole Bible is symbolic. That is you dodging the fact that you're wrong. I showed you examples. Israel was not lifted up on the wings of eagles. Yet, the Bible says that eagles bore Israel from Egypt on their wings and brought them to Him. No eagles were involved in that. It's symbolism.

I am not attacking God. I will continue to believe in Evolution no matter what you or anyone else says because I believe the Bible allows for it and it isn't a salvation issue. It is how I understand the Genesis account of the creation of all things.

“In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity”

I will leave you with this quote as I do my best to live by it. I also will not respond to you any more within this thread. I have said all I can say and am just repeating myself at this point to you.

If we never speak again here, I will be sure to track you down in Heaven and we can have a good laugh over this.

Because the inventor of evolution could only be the author of sin--which rules God out.

It really doesn't take much thought to work this out.

Evolution expands the secondary (after Lucifer), earthly, pointed decision to rebel against Heaven's government into an indiscriminately long process of unconscious time, intents, and purposes.

I don't see a viable model of theistic evolution that presents human sin as a conscious decision.

It is a distorted view of the basic character of God, which is the constant cause of every error and sin.

Where does the development of willful sin play out in the framework of the theory of evolution?

:)

I don't see what evolution has to do with sin.
Sin came into the world via the human race. It wasn't there before.
At some point in our evolution, God created His image in/on us. From then on, we became moral beings who were capable of rebellion and sin. And it wasn't long before we did sin.

So you can't find evolution in our Bible? I tried to tell you. It's not in the Bible. Evolution is a Satanic attack on God of the Bible.
