And it troubles me greatly that you don't see that.
i'm not suggesting "don't serve ppl" Naomi, pls don't misunderstand me there.

we might consider this from another direction, maybe; Charity.
Charity as we have now defined it prolly seems like a good thing to you, right?

I really want to know what this means to you? Is that what God says? And please don’t quote “pick up your cross”, your overlooking One went (goes) before you.
"don't rely on the salvation story that you can get by attending any mainline congregation for a single Solday" maybe, something like that. "Don't pay attention to people who say that believing in Christ is the only logical thing one could do, who cannot even make logical sense of their own dogma." The "logical" Christ is satan of course. "If you essentially believe what everyone else in your cong believes, you are quite obviously lost."
Few there are who find it

Maybe we will just disagree on "worship" which could simply mean to give thanks.
worship = fear in Scripture; same word. I guess dictionaries prolly don't follow that, but so what. Of course there are other synonyms too, but i would consider them as having much less weight. You may not. I didn't get there willingly, or quickly either i guess

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Why? Because to fear God is to hate evil and turn from it. This we were created to do.
so you say, but wouldn't that make fear of God the end of wisdom, too? Fear is only the beginning for a reason imo; God does not want your fear to be the end of your wisdom, and this does not even make logical sense if God is Love. Does it?

"I love you, so you better fear Me?"

bbyrd009, Proverbs 8:13
[13] The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

God’s wisdom is foolishness to men. So is there not two: man’s wisdom...and God’s wisdom? I would say yes God wants me to come to the end of my wisdom and embrace what men call “foolishness”(the end of man’s wisdom and the beginning of God’s). You display it all the time by provoking “a different perspective there”: where did you get this new perspective was it not from: “continue in my word and the truth will set you free” and “be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind”.

Proverbs 4:4-6
[4] He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. [5] Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. [6] Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Which wisdom are we to get? Which wisdom preserves? Which wisdom will keep thee? ...”foolishness to men.”

Honestly, bbyrd, talking to you is like taking a trip down the rabbit hole.
of course i could say the same, and hopefully what is maybe becoming a bit clearer here is the real "speaking in tongues;" of course i would pick up a 2 year old and dust them off, and of course you are smart enough to know when a kid is working you for attention. But we use the same language for both scenarios.

and in that vein i would like to say that i am not telling you the truth; i am giving you a perspective, which is all that i can do.
And i guess most people start out assuming that their posts will natch be understood as a perspective--i dunno--but somewhere along the way our "beliefs" seem to become "Absolute Truths," and the syntax in a post gives this away; when someone says "the truth is..." they are about to tell an untruth, generally speaking, simply bc they cannot possibly include every qualifier necessary to make their statement into a truth. And there are many other phrases that indicate this too. Their "beliefs" have now become ATs, to them at least. imo.

so, i hope this causes you to question your assumptions, and fwiw idc if you don't want to explore the assumptions the MSM has provided you, ok, that thing about living in a miracle and all those things you believe are growing that are actually shrinking. Go see for yourself, if you want to. i know it seems counterintuitive, but you can explore via Google concepts such as "over-reporting," which can lead us to believe that shrinking = growing, or prolly vice-versa too i guess, or even contemplate some of the lies that come from the PTB, "Federal Reserve, Military Intelligence, One Nation Under God, Trinity, Novus Ordo Seclorum" take your pick

since i gave you a like there i guess i better say "i hope so" to this part; but i already know that in five years when i come back to review this, i will be cringing at some of the things i've said! if i can even understand them then lol

one can do themselves a big favor imo, and go read some of their five year old posts

I used to be a great fan of revival. It seems like most Christian gatherings these days focus on pet doctrines.

Same here. I’ve reread post from last month and can’t understand them. That is why I usually don’t go back.

The other day I was checking way, way back on some of Aspens posts..and lo and behold there was a couple by me...I have no recollection on saying whatever I was saying... Maybe my mind/brain has got older quicker than I thought ..because it sound very good...I should go back and listen to some of the things that I have said...I may learn something!!!! :D

But, I know that in your post here, you were meaning just the opposite...yet like me, you may just be surprised at yourself. :)

hmm. i would say that is rather unusual, but i'm only comparing the two of us, got no other data there. surely a bell curve on every facet there too lol. but does seem...unique enough to be able to learn something from. But you post musings sometimes/fairly often, so imo not getting them a month later is diff from when you were engaged in a convo and posted a reply. The musings can be hard to reply to if a focal point is not est'd early enough; at least in my case. Maybe that is why you didn't get them either? a "why i am writing this" statement right up front, title even, might help? something that illuminates the dilemma, usually in a why or how question i think.

A revelation is an improvement on an old way of thinking, right? so the dilemma is the old way of thinking, in that case "Why did i look for a literal antichrist to come sit in some temple somewhere someday and declare himself God when it was obviously me all the time" like that, only maybe save the punchline for after lol. i'm a jabber, you strike me as more of a roundhouse knockout punch type :)

in most cases i'd say wait at least a year, or until you have forgotten the convo, whichever. A point being to be able to read your replies etc from an outside pov. A little longer wait struck me as better bc then you can also track how your mind has changed in the interim.
"i am very ____ here" is a revelation that will manifest, which i say it that way not to sound more religious but bc it might not manifest if you shy away from it; "i am very ______ here" might only...get to suggest itself before being put aside. Go back when you can imo.
yes, it will be painful. but that is mostly bc we are too critical of ourself anyway, and we short-change the good posts, the ones we still agree with. Personally i have gone from "outright derisive" to, what, "pretty aggravating" or something in about 5-6 years.
woo-hoo! :)

bam feel good about the good ones imo. i am in a weird trans phase where i am...critiquing my good ones and feeling good about the bad ones, something like bc i am at least noticing and disagreeing with myself or something--finding confessions--and noting where i'm tending to elevate self in the 'good' ones, kind of hard to explain bc i really don't get it, more like something i'm letting unfold. But regardless of if that happens or not to anyone else, very powerful tool imo. Being as how i'm apparently not going to be banned here i guess some apologies will be popping up pretty soon lol, in a year or so

Ha...

Yeah, 10 years of cringeworthy posts. The few that I like seem like they were written by someone else
these are gold, imo, and indicate a changed mind in the interim. Tbh imo you are much harder on yourself than you need to be, i am at a loss to recall 5 throwaway posts of yours, and being of the same MO i might suggest that this is possibly overcompensation for not being hard enough on yourself in another area, imagining that as a way to zero out. But as former RCC it may be a diff MO with you, as you have been trained to flagellate there i guess. Meaning no offense to Catholics, Prots get trained into that too

You may not agree with this...especially my "christianese speak" :) but when my husband was still preaching and he and the rest of us knew that he was preaching " under the anointing"...sometime he'd say to me afterward.." Had you noticed that 'such and such" thought about blah blah blah....I heard it come out of my mouth and thought 'wow, I've never seen it like that before... like I said to Aspen..at those times...we are just vessels for God to use, and He does. :)

So, most probably some of our posts are "ours" ...some are probably something we learned or picked and and kept from someone else, ...and more hopefully , some of our posts are actually "God inspired". :)
