I won't even update my windows 7 to a 10 in order to play games on FB. I really liked Farmville back in the day.
I don't have a cellphone. I think the only "smart" thing is the electric meter on the garage.
My car don't have GPS. I'm a bit old school.
I remember when I got my first computer. I think I was around 24 , that was 35 years ago? no way.
I swore at that time I wasn't going to get the internet because I didn't want the government spying on me.
But then came Webtv. And the internet became addictive.
Still is.
Then when I went trucking with my 2nd husband, I needed a computer for financial and scheduling purposes.
So it became not just a fun adventure, now it became a necessity.

Now I live with my dad who is doing good by the way. Been home since April and most days are good.
But I can't leave the house. So I have to do all my grocery shopping and prescriptions online.
I'm not saying the internet can't be used for good purposes, but it's got it's dark sides too.

I believe we have much greater technology than what we are given to know, and that over time they slow roll it out so we get immersed in it like frogs in water, slowly coming to a boil. All these waves in the air interfering in our own bodies natural rhythms, making our minds turn to mush, Not to mention 5G. Chemtrails, pesticides... reeeee.

I took a 2 year course at a community college but only got to complete one year due to overtime at work versus classes. I chose the work.
But in that dirst year I had to take a class Intro to computers. That was when DOS was a thing. How to place margins and things.
That year Bill Gates was introducing MicroSoft of the world scene and we were told for final grade we had to write a paper on the internet.

A couple people stood up with their papers and gave rave reviews on Bill Gates and his accomplishments. Yay for Bill!
I tried to get out of giving mine. Mine wasn't so enthusiastic as the others. But no, I was going to have to stand my ground and give the most unpopular description of the way I saw the future of the internet.

I got a C- .

Now if I still had that paper today and I posted it here, today.. I would probably get an A+ .
Because I saw how it would disturb the social structure of our society. I saw everyone looking into a computer instead of talking face to face. People would become isolated and eventually become depressed. I saw no good thing coming out of it.

But I never went deeper than just turning on the computer and surfing the web. I don't understand the technology behind it. And I don't care if I never know. Kind of like crypto.

I really wouldn't want a computer donated to me for the purpose of using crypto from the government.
I'd rather go to a pawn shop and find an old 98 and play solitaire or hearts. Just enough to pass the time away while I'm taking care of dad.

My life is simple and I like it like that. I been in the city rat race, over the road with crazy 4-wheelers, worked in a printshop as a machine operator. Married twice, raised a daughter. Lived in the city, the woods, and everything in between.
I'm good right where I am.
God has blessed me more than I could ever hope for.
So, what will be will be. And however it turns out, I know God is in control. And whatever he is doing is for our best interest because he loves us. So I'm going to stand on that knowledge and that faith. And let the world do what the world does.

I don't know anything about bitcoin.
I do know that the dollar is heading out the door and the currency dominating places like China is becoming bitcoin.
So how do you function economically in a world without the ability to transact without said currency?

As I understand it somewhat.. is that no said Banking institution is fully in control of the monetary system.
Maybe it's some kind of free market currency. I have NO idea.
I don't know how to aquire it or spend it or trade with it.

But it looks like it's the way of the future and will be pushed upon us no different than the dollar in exchange for gold or silver.
Pesos, rubles, shekels... nothing ever stays the same.
Except Gold. And I don't have that either.

Maybe someday someone can explain bitcoin to me in laymens terms, but frankly I'm sure I'll have to figure it out at some point.
Unless we can rebuild confidence in the dollar and remove the federal reserve and put the currency back in the power of the Treasury, which I believe Trump made an executive order at some point where that has already occured. We just haven't seen it manifested yet.

But remember, we have liquid gold under our feet and plenty of it. And everyone needs energy.
How that will trickle down into the monetary system as cash or bitcoin...
I have no idea.

PARIS — The extravagant opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics has caused fury among the populist and religious right in the United States and elsewhere, with critics especially unhappy about an apparent depiction of the Last Supper featuring drag performers.

A fashion show at the ceremony included a scene that resembled a modern re-creation of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, French actor and singer Philippe Katerine appeared as the Greek god Dionysus, painted blue and wearing little more than a bunch of flowers covering his modesty.


While some fans loved this unabashed display of French camp and kitsch, others — particularly those who espouse conservative or Christian beliefs — were not happy with it.
