Find out who the Bishop of Rome was.
I looked up Peter in Rome the scriptures dont appear to say, but Peter calls Jesus both the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls also.
1Peter 2:24-25
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.For ye were as sheep going astray;
but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Although our Lords location is neither in Texas, China or Rome specifically why would some bishop located in Rome mean something to me?

If faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God (which is rich with history) I have studied it nearly every day for well over 35 years.I don't see how God would (through his word) seek to keep me ignorant of the history of my faith by doing so.
