“In the beginning was Wisdom, and Wisdom was with God, and Wisdom was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by it, and without it was nothing made. What was made, had life in it, and this life was the light of men; and this light shineth in darkness, and the darkness hindered it not.”

(Gilbert Wakefield, A Translation of the New Testament)

And wisdom became flesh and dwelt among us. And this wisdom was Jesus. And John said about this wisdom that it was greater than John himself was because this wisdom/Jesus existed as a thought in Gods mind before John himself existed as a thought in Gods mind.
Better yet?

Jesus is what Wisdom became when it, Wisdom, became flesh.

Jesus is the wisdom of God expressed in a human person.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This was in the beginning with God. All things were made by it, and without it not a single creature was made. In it[/i] was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shone in the darkness; but the darkness admitted it not.”

(Alexander Campbell, The Sacred Writings of the Apostles and Evangelists of Jesus Christ, Commonly Styled the New Testament)

Bold is mine.

And “it” became flesh and dwelt among us. But even though “it” became flesh, men did not recognize “it.” John testified about “it” that “it” was greater than John was because “it” existed long before John himself existed.

Jesus is what Wisdom became when it, Wisdom, became flesh.

Jesus is the wisdom of God expressed in a human person.

So you’ve settled for replacing “word” with “wisdom of God?”
So…
In the beginning, the wisdom of God already existed, and the wisdom of God was with God in the beginning, and the wisdom of God was God and became flesh and dwelt among us. John testified about the wisdom of God that the wisdom of God was greater than he himself because the the wisdom of God/Jesus existed before John himself did.

Wisdom, not the Son, is what existed with the Father before the Father, not the Son, created the heavens and the earth.

God’s word is wisdom.

Verse 14 still remains.

Okay, so…
In the beginning wisdom existed, and wisdom was with God in the beginning and wisdom WAS God. And this wisdom became flesh/Jesus, and John testified about this wisdom that became flesh (Jesus) that this wisdom was far greater than John himself was because this wisdom become flesh existed before John himself existed.

Jesus isn’t an it. The Father’s word is an it. The Father created by speaking what was in his mind into being.

When it (the Father’s word) became flesh, Jesus (he) was begotten, conceived and born.

The Father’s Spirit hovered over the waters. The Father’s Spirit hovered over Mary. Creation. Genesis creation. New creation.

What is so terribly difficult about the concept that Jesus is the Father’s word incarnate?

What is so terribly difficult about the concept that Jesus is the Father’s love incarnate?

What is so terribly difficult about the concept that Jesus is the Father’s reason incarnate?

What is is so terribly difficult about the concept that Jesus is the Father’s wisdom incarnate?

There’s more, but the reader at least shouldn’t have difficulty following this train of thought.

Let the reader accept or reject the concept but let the reader first understand what he or she is accepting or rejecting before doing either one.

Every translation I’ve posted (and I have many more yet to post) captures and conveys the right idea.

I sort of agree...Jesus become flesh is to us wisdom, love, everything. All that He is cannot be described in one word really.

It's not difficult for me. Jesus is God embodied. He is all God is. That's what all your different renderings of the word "word" mean to me. All that God is in Jesus.

We should be able to easily agree on this. I’m often asked by trinitarians and binitarians if agreeing to this means that they must abandon trinitarianism and binitarianism. The answer is no, they don’t.

Jesus is the embodiment of all these qualities of the Father.

That is why, I suggest, that when we see and hear Jesus we see and hear the Father. Jesus isn’t the Father. Jesus shows us what the Father is like.

No, I don't think we can agree. I think Jesus is God personified. All God is, become flesh.
