No. Because what the bible teaches about death, comparing it to sleep, I always seen sleep and awaking as a physical reminder of death and resurrection. I have an elaborate theology involving animals as well regarding sleep. When man fell in the garden, he took creation with it considering that animals are likened to angels and man to God. Paul says in Romans that the creature (creation) awaits for the manifestation of the sons of God, and like their resurrection, I believe this is how creation will be restored as well (in the resurrection). Thus, I believe that the species that sleep are the ones that will be restored and were meant to exist from the start of the perfect world. That lead me to believe that animals, like the despicable fly, that does not sleep---- at least as we know it---- will not be restored in the new creation. And that makes sense---- they are little animals of destruction, like maggots for instance, that have to do with death and decay, and maybe can be compared to the fallen angels.Angels have no need for redemption, and do not die or rise again, and certainly do not need to do it symbolically or physically like we do.
