Difficulty Reconciling

Hey @GracePeace . Would you consider this tactic to be like boxing people in? In one sense, you ask us how we resolve the issue; and we say by thinking outside the box. When we do this, you tell us you only want to solve the problem by boxing us in...

I would think this is like a Jew wanting a question answered by only using the Old Testament. The entire Cannon of Scripture a box; why not use it all? Perhaps it's a mistake a new Christian would make, or perhaps it's a restriction to get the answer you want...

No, not at all. I simply ask about some ideas in John's Gospel, and only want to use John's Gospel (and/or his epistles, which elaborate on his Gospel). I have had other threads where I have been open to using the entire Bible--as you know--but this one single one I have wanted to be different. I had hoped it would help to focus the discussion. Not trying to box anyone in. As I said, I had no ulterior motive, just wanted to solicit you all's findings.

Jesus meant some of the things he said to apply to the Old Covenant, not the New Covenant. This is true of everything he said in John; it's either for the Old or for the New...

The problem is what most folks do not realize is
When the apostels wrote to the churches they were not always writing about the same things
Look at how in depth paul goes and yet john , nor peter , nor james would have disagreed .
WHEN peoplel try to read into ONE LETTER they can perhaps think they see something that might differ from
another apostels letter . WHEN IN TRUTH IT DONT .
I KNOW this , due to how often i have read that bible .
HOW do we reconcile the scriptures
WE LEARN ALL THE LETTERS and REALIZE that they never contadicted one the other .
that is about as simple as i can put it .

ONLY TRUTH . EVERY LETTER written IS FOR THE CHURCH , IS and was INSPIRED BY THE SPIRIT

I'm not asking you to tell me a method I can employ for how to reconcile the issue myself, I am soliciting you all for your actual personal findings. It really is not difficult.

The OP asks you to share your personal findings, NOT tell me a method whereby I might find the answer. I want YOUR answer. You're saying "believe the whole Bible". Well, no one would disagree.

Even if I accepted "Believe the whole Bible" answer, fine, I'm asking you what you found when you read the whole Bible. "Believe the whole Bible".

Like, if I ask you "What is 4 + 4?" I'm looking for "8", or what ever you think the answer is, I'm not asking you to tell me, "It's simple! You just add 4 to 4! Why don't you want the answer!? You're making it difficult!" Tell me YOUR actual answer to the issue, not the method whereby I might find the answer.

It's an extremely simple thing I'm asking for--no need to accuse me warrantlessly.
