That is not the nations or world.
They are destroyed.

Revelation 2:27
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Revelation 19:15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

It's so clear. Where are they seeing Him just keeping them in line and telling them what to do rather than destroying them in passages like those?

Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

How does breaking them and dashing them in pieces equate to anything but Him destroying them? Clearly, the context of Him ruling the heathen with a rod of iron has to do with Him destroying them. So, that is what ruling with a rod of iron entails in this context. The idea that He's just going to be harsh with them while correcting their behavior is laughable. That is not at all what is portrayed in passages like Psalm 2:7-9, Revelation 2:27 and Revelation 19:15-18.

No He rules them.
Revelation 2:27

Revelation 19:15

First they need some smiting before He gets to ruling.

Can you tell me how you interpret the following passages:

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
No one says Jesus could not at any time come and rule the world. The issue is when His timing is. That is why prophesy was given, to clue some of us in to the timing.

To me, sure. To them, no, they probably think they are the smartest man in the world and well connected.
Would you agree that if you're free to consider anyone of your choosing to be a cult, then they are equally free to consider you to be a cult?

When many openly display a true and deep ignorance and disdain for the bible I think referring to that group as a cult is a compliment.
Just because someone disagrees with some of your interpretations of the Bible means they have a disdain for the Bible? That is complete nonsense. Are you for real? I'm starting to wonder.

I'm not following the argument closely here, but it's good indeed to avoid the attitude which you highlight about calling others cultish if they happen to disagree.
You should direct your suggestion to dad, who's been making the recent claim of cultism.

LOL!!! This is the one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen anyone say. Period. Do you not understand that smiting means destroying? Do you also think they just need some being tread in the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God to whip them into shape? LOL!

That is your takeaway from this passage?

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

I'm not seeing where this says something about Jesus "at any time" coming to "rule the world". It says He long ago was given all power (authority) over heaven and earth. He rules the world now. Just because He allows people to sin doesn't mean He doesn't rule over them. Just because some don't acknowledge His rule doesn't change the fact that He rules over them. He doesn't need to have everyone doing everything He commands in order to be ruling over everyone.

yes. He is anointed at the age of 30 to begin his work.
Yes. Jesus begins His work at 30. Then at 33 He comes into Jerusalem on a donkey which is exactly what the scriptures proclaim. This happens at the end of the 69th week.

[ Quote light ]At the end of the 69th week, the Messiah comes on a donkey on Palm Sunday.]

This is the end of his ministry not the beginning

Yes, it is at the end of His ministry. Thus at the of the 69th week Messiah will be cut off....as it is days before His death. The 70th week will begin after the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.
