My two cents, I find it odd how Lysol wipes are supposed to kill the virus, yet they allegedly have no vaccine for it.
Lysol destroys organic molecules like proteins and DNA. And that's all viruses are. So it works fine. Soap, BTW, generally doesn't destroy viruses; it just washes them off your hands.
On the other hand, a vaccine is a lot more complex. It's attenuated (weakened) or killed virus particles that when injected into one's body, will stimulate your immune system to become effective against the actual virus. That's a tough thing, particularly against some viruses like HIV, which don't have readily reachable points for the antibodies to attach and initiate an immune response.
Vaccines and immune response are a lot more complicated than the very basic outline I've shown you here. If you'd like to learn more about it, there are places to look:
Maybe its just me, but that makes no sense, doesn't add up at all.
It's perfectly reasonable. And not all viruses are easy to make effective vaccines for.
It makes me suspicious actually. Either they are hyping up the virus to make it seem more dangerous than it really is for some reason, or they are trying to downplay just how dangerous it truly is because this is in fact a weaponized version of the virus they set loose that they have no vaccine for, either by mistake or not. If its the latter, then Lysol wipes won't do a damn thing, and I tend to not believe in "mistakes" of this magnitude.
And now you realize why it's the way it is. No fiendishly clever bad guys; just the way immunity works.
