It was never intended by God for you to do anything in yourself. That's why he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. That would be the purpose of creation, for Christ to live in the human being .. and his life would be the life of that being. In him I live, and move, and have my being! That's why scripture is so adamant, and forthcoming as to what, or who life is. And how that life is to be lived - in the world and through eternity.
People ask 'what do you suppose we will do in heaven.' The same thing we have be doing in the world "learning Christ." Now heaven is different than the world, but what we are to learn will be the same throughout eternity. So we can tell people that have concerns about other believers "what we don't learn now we will learn then." There is no escape of what to be learned. Now granted most don't know why God created all things created, so they do not know what they are to learn here and now.
What is the gospel? the gospel is a heavenly message that solely belongs to our father - God.. for a heavenly people - birthed by God the father, by the one Son in them. Before he was creator God, he was a father! We were in that mind - the mind that has at it's nature the uniqueness of fatherhood. He was already father, and before anything was created, he only had one (the Son) to be father to. The only begotten Son. Jesus was a Son before he was made flesh. Like his father, he has no beginning of days, nor end of days. They are one.
To understand our uniqueness in creation - we must see the uniqueness of the Son before the foundation of the world. Before anything was created! Why is that? We can see our father was a father before he created anything. And now he is a father to many, by the one Son in them - a birthing. You cannot judge the father to be the angry Old Testament God. Because before creation he was a father, but in creation he had none to be father to in the Old Testament.
Unique because; it is the only message in scripture that fits creation. Anything else, will have to do with - after creation. And will not fullness of the plan and purpose of God (other than the cross - the lamb slain before the foundation of the world) - before the foundation of the world! Chosen to be in him. What fulfils the plan and purpose of God? Christ in you the hope of glory! Col. 1:27. Completion of the created being by Christ - is the completion of Col. 2:10.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: - Colossians 2:10.
