I think what you are referring to when you say "even Paul said he had a demon in him..." it was a "stronghold", which is a difference from full demon possession in an unsaved person. But you did bring up a very interesting topic. This leads me to another question. Do christians, their sin nature (flesh) take demons (strongholds) to church with them? I think yes they do.

...and do some evil spirits feel quite comfortable in Church? I think they do. This is some deep stuff. I don't think any denomination or any member in these forums can truthfully say they attend a Church where there are no demons present? All christians have strongholds and sufferings. This is why we need to TRUST in God, Jesus, all the more. Our world is under the curse of Sin.

The curse of sin
Genesis 3 shows us that suffering can also be traced to the curse of sin. God pronounces this three-part curse in Genesis 3: war with Satan (Genesis 3:14-15); war in the family (Genesis 3:16); and war in the world (Genesis 3:17-19). The curse introduces extra suffering into the world, such as Satanic oppression (Job 2:13), demon possession (Matthew 15:22; 17:15), spiritual blindness (2 Corinthians 4:4), birth defects (John 9:2), diseases (Luke 4:38) and “natural disasters” like famines (Acts 7:11). However, until the curse is removed, Jesus teaches us to see in the curse God’s emergency warning system: our world is under God’s judgment, and if we don’t repent, we too will all perish (Luke 13:1-5).


One day, it will return back to perfection, as it says in Revelations.

The Bible begins with the story of creation (Genesis 1-2). Here we see that God is indeed all-powerful, and all-good. God is the uncreated Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1), with power to speak the entire universe into existence from nothing (Hebrews 11:3). Everything God made was “very good” (Genesis 1:31), and His first words to mankind were full of blessing, generosity and protection (Genesis 1:28-30; Genesis 2:16-17). From the beginning of the Bible, then, it is clear that God is all-powerful, and God is all-good. And in the beginning of creation, there was no suffering.

The Bible ends with a glimpse of the new creation, where again there is no suffering. “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away’” (Revelation 21:3-4). The end of the Bible, then, also shows that God is all-powerful, and God is all-good; and in the new creation, there will also be no suffering.

yes! I never said possessed tho! we're oppressed theirs a big difference!! coz we have Gods hedge of protection!! but a person not in Christ and bound by sin has no protection wat so ever!! their like a "fortress with no walls" as the bible say's so their completely exposed 2 the elements and satan has free passage into their lives.

paul was oppressed!! he said 2 corith 12:7 satan has sent an angel to "buffet" me, angel is "messenger" in greek, and buffet means 2 tempt or entice, he also says in 12:8 lord depart dis "thorn" from me, the word "thorn" here means 2 bother or hinder. same thing in

Num 33:55 "But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. So the word "thorn" in both these instances is referred 2 a hindrance or annoyance from a person or people"

but in Gen 3:17 - Gen 3:18 when God cast's judgment on adam "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; "Thorns" also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;"

its not being described as a person but just as a physical thing!! paul also complained many times about being afflicted while ministering

Many a time apostles had infirmities or were sick or tempted!! satan even came inside peter!! God allows theses things 2 happen to test us,

Oh well that verse is not coming to mind, the one I had in mind was I guess “if anyone has faith in Christ he is a new creation”

So I guess the two would tie together, sure, but then I perceive the millennium to be the experience we have after coming to faith in Christ, and not some “afterlife“ after we have died. To be honest I’m not sure of any other way that both vv could make sense?
