Re-writing or copying? Not as if 2000 years ago, an Apostle could zip off a few thousand copies with their printer! They had to copy by hand, and in doing so, even the best copyist could make mistakes.

Oh, you mean the pure grape juice He used to symbolize His pure sinless blood?

BTW, the booze you so love indeed does have its representation in Scripture - Isaiah uses it to refer to the "wine of Babylon" aka "false doctrine" upon which she's made drunk the entire world, including "protestants" who defend the papacy tooth and nail because so much of what they believe has been imported from the "Roman dunghill of decretals".
