Can you really call yourself a Christian if you want others to suffer because they made someone suffer?

I see it a lot, I see a lot of people advocating or being vocal about wanting others to suffer the same or even worse than what they did.

As a Christian, do you wish or you think it’s all right to want that? You don’t wish for that, no matter what the other person did?

I ask this because I can’t do that like others, I don’t want no one to suffer any type of way even though what they have done.

That depends on your definition of suffer.
Example ( guilt is a form of suffer)
Then you have to ask a question does suffering help the person that harmed you.

If you are a Christian and you are suffering, you should be joyful especially if you’ve been BAD
I get no joy out of it watching other people suffer
That’s between them and God

Precious friend, this is What God Says for christians Today, Under Grace:

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's Sake Hath Forgiven you. " (Ephesians 4:32 AV)
Amen.

Vengeance is a well-developed concept in the Law of Moses. It was a part of their legal system. The injured had a right to vengeance. And those who were subject to vengeance had some recourse - they could flee to designated cities of refuge where vengeance was NOT permitted.

The New Testament takes a different view. While it does not change the legality of vengeance, it admonishes us to forgive and to make peace with those who have wronged us.

Thank you for your provocative post.

OK, so bearing ill will toward others is a vice, a sinful snare to watch out for: agreed.

What about the opposite: what should our response be to “karma”: the person who receives God’s judgement immediately upon causing harm to others for personal gain?

Is Schadenfreude always a vice? Should we swiftly voice a silent “God be praised!”? Or, would “God have mercy on your soul,” be better?

Peace and blessings.

I can see the entertainment, even if it’s in our subconscious mind when karma makes it self known

Are we not supposed to control our minds or at least try? Should we possibly look at the karma angle as a warning for us not to go down that same path?

So is karma more of a warning than a judgment?
A sort of tough love by God

As God is The God of Justice and Righteousness Judgment, then its perfectly acceptable to want to see an end to what isn't accepted by God.

A few of those that need to end today??

Here are 5.

Gay Marriage
Gay Adoption
Gay Pastors
ALL ISLAMIC Religious Death Cults that want Israel to stop existing.
Illegals being welcomed into the USA so that one Party that hates America can continue to methodically destroy it to try to stay in power.

It's a problem. I understand it. Actually a few years ago I ran across a sermon that I highly recommend. It preaches against the notion of people in our society equating forgiveness with "forgetting", and other stuff. I a nut shell it advocates that Christians try to release people from the debt that we think that they owe us. I think Fr. Anthony hit the nail on the head with this, because I think that is really what is going on in the mind of folks consciously or unconsciously.

Forgiving others releases the person, themselves.

As if you "hold unforgiveness" in your heart, you are allowing this to become harmful to yourself, most of all.

4 things to stop doing, if you are born again Christian.

Stop holding onto un-forgiveness
Stop living in Regret
Stop living in the Past
Stop worrying about tomorrow.
