I threatened this to my kids, and the look I got back was classic. So can men with man buns be saved?
I personally have never have had a man bun hairstyle, should I grow my hair longer and get the bun? Apparently they are a popular thing of my generation.
You probably get discounts at the coffee shop too with the bun!
;)
That's IT! So you know of what I speak! What is more manly than that? A parted beard (man bun notwithstanding)
I really doubt that that had anything to do with it. [I really don't know,] People don't like to change their daily routines and that would have required such a change. My teachers for the most part in high school and college were for the change... but I guess they were too small of a voice to make the difference.Ye come on, all Americans, come over to metric it's so much easier, less errors
Ha Ha yes, see science knows what the deal is. I don't think we can express an imperial unit in scientific notation.
Im not sure, like 9.87x10^3 i think that only works with metric.
I heard a rumour that America didn't switch to metric because the Soviets had switched to it. Sounds silly
I used math quite a bit in chemistry and I love algebra. When I went to work for Social Security I quickly learned how useful algebra and the other math really was. I always enjoyed the challenge of it. Between the scrambled earnings messes, the family relationship decisions, proof of age investigations, et al., I had to make there was never a dull moment. I still enjoyed it even when close to retirement it was killing me because of the pressure. Sometimes I look back with a little longing but I am sure that if I had stayed on I'd be dead by now. When I was young I thrived on the pressure, but later on I was getting the most severe headaches that nothing short of the strongest prescriptions medicine would help.Oh mate I remember when I started uni I thought I was good at maths... I was sorely mistaken... Physics was almost like magic for me
Calculating money is almost like the metric system in most countries now perhaps , but...Calculating money is almost like metric. 100 cents make a dollar so it is similar.
I propose we convert to a metric clock. 10 hours in a day with 100 minutes in each hour. It would help a lot with physics equations

I would have thought that in context the sin that doth so easilty beset us, would be unbelief.I can't be bothered to read the whole of the thread but my thoughts turn away from peripheral stuff like 'buns', and onto "the sin that so readily besets men", such as 'adultery" as defined by Matthew 5:28, and which bars entry in the Kingdom of God, as per 1 Corinthians 6:9.
Can such an 'adulterer' (with or without a bun) be saved?
Well just to prove a point, I have commited the sin of unbelief by not believing that to be the sin that doth so easily beset me.I would have thought that in context the sin that doth so easilty beset us, would be unbelief.
Ahahaha true true... It is nice and green over there
We were young guys, being silly, hanging out the car yelling out BBBAAAAA every few minutes... LoL
But the source of lamb is just another reason why they should join us
@JunChosen
So are you telling me that because I hadn't "read on for a couple of verses" Christians can continue to commit adultery as defined in Matthew 5:28 and still be saved and enter the Kingdom of God?
And is the same 'passport' available to Christians who also continue to commit some of the
"Works of the flesh such as fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God"
simply because had I read on for another couple of verses I would have seen that:
"They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (as per Galatians 5:19-24)
5:19-24 is a fundamental principle. It must be read in light of 1 John 3:9 that declares:
"Whosoever is born of God doth NOT commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
Most confessing Christians does not understand salvation, they feel they have to do works in order to enter the kingdom of God. Yet Jesus told Nicodemus, "except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
"No man can (have power) come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him..." John 6:44.
And so on, and so on, and so on.
God saves and NEVER man!!!

I too could quote cherry picked scriptures which refute yours.
Indeed scriptures can invariably be cherry picked which undermine scriptures that underpin contrary convictions.
It's the essence of the plenary Biblical standpoint.:
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
God spoke in parables and without a parable He did not speak unto them (Mark 4:34).
There may seem apparent verses that contradicts other verses, but God is perfect in everything He does!! Therefore, scripture cannot refute another scripture. It is man's interpretations and misunderstandings of Scripture that are flawed.
To God Be The Glory
You jump to your cherry picked verse to prove that the reason why so many scriptures appear to contract others is because they are of variable parabolic interpretation.
But the fact is that Jesus only spoke in parables when in mixed crowds containing both disciples and unbelievers
I guess that you must be ‘young in the faith’, either in terms of ‘time’, or in terms of having spent your fellowship in the shielded environment of a very narrow minded ‘sinless perfectionist’ sect.
Rotfl....I think an optometrist is in order.
Purely a result of homophobic programming.
I don’t hear any objections to the pictures of Jesus with long hair.I wonder how far supposed "men" will choose to let themselves be feminized? They have already begun wearing feminine jewelry and are shaving their body hair.
