Behold, are you proud that you chose to believe in Jesus? If so, then, how does your experience compare with Paul's following statements?
Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Eph 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Verse 5a: We were dead in our sins.
Verse 5b: He made us alive.
Verse 7, 8: He saved us by grace through faith, which is God's gift, not our own doing.
Verse 9: Therefore, we have nothing to brag about or to be proud of; it's all God's doing.
It is, the way you meant it. If salvation is conditioned on a person receiving a gift from someone, and receiving is a action verb, then its a work.

We are saved by God's grace through FAITH....
It does NOT state in Ephesians 2 that God UNCONDITIONALLY saves us through HIS OWN GOOD PLEASURE....
but through OUR FAITH....
By faith Abraham was saved.
Genesis 15:6
God told Abraham his descendents would be as the stars.
ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD......a free will action that Abraham took.
And God counted it to him as righteousness.
BECAUSE of Abraham's FAITH,,,,he became a friend of God.

Just to redirect the Thread back into the original teaching.
1.) How does Calvinism get a Calvinist killed?
Its very simple.
If you are a deceived Calvinist........a real one......then you do not believe you have free will, and you believe that God pre-destines everything.
So, in that twisted mentality, you will believe that if you get cancer, or if your kid gets a brain tumor.........that this is GOD's sovereign control..
You will believe that its DESTINED for you and your kid.........as that is how Calvinism and TULIP has redefined God as their Cosmic Monster who is causing people to get sick and die.
You might want to reconsider your deception, as Jesus told you that "if you've seen ME... you've seen the Father" and "the works that i see my Father do........that i do".
So, did you ever read a verse in a bible that told you that Jesus caused cancer, blindness, Lupus, bone disease, poverty, or death?
Yet your Satanic IDOL John Calvin, has you believing that God is causing HARM and DEATH.... And because you have believed this LIE from Hell, as taught by Calvinism, = Hyper-Calvinism.......then if you get sick, or if your child or mother gets a terminal disease, you can't then pray to God for healing, when Lying JOHN CALVINISM has you believe that GOD made you sick, and them.
That is HOW John Calvinism, will will GET YOU and your Family KILLED.

Calvinism gets a Calvinist killed, if the person is not Saved by Christ. Not being Saved, and believing in Calvinism, Provisionism, Catholicism, etc; will add to your Sins because of the Pride of life...
