@Debp @Hepzibah ..my vitamin D is ok, the doctor phoned me at 4:30pm ..she said I should get an over the counter vitamin, it’s called vitamin D3...she said it doesn’t have any calcium in it...is that correct?

She said my kidneys aren’t filtering through properly, so I need to continue to drink water, I’ve cut down to 1 litre..I had to get the doctor to phone me a second time, because I never asked enough questions the first time..my nutritionist wants this information..I’m now waiting for the surgery to email me all of my blood tests results, as the nutritionist wants to see those as well...
Getting enough sunlight and Vitamin D3 is one of the natural ways to treat/control AF according to the doctors I've been listening to.

One of them mentioned putting the face in cold water for several seconds. I have for years used a cold pack on my neck and chest ...looks like what I did instinctively was a good idea. Put the cold packs on the face, neck, chest areas and gently massage the vagus nerve area in circular motions. I did it and it helped a lot. Also, the breathing exercises.

Thank you @TLHKAJ ..for posting the videos and advice on vitamin D..

My cardiologist now thinks I was on to larger dose of beta blockers..that may be causing the AF as my pulse dropped to 29, which she said can also trigger AF.

Have you heard about a Kardio device?..my Son is going to get me one, then when I do go into AF, it will record it, then apparently I can send the recording to the hospital..how that works I have no idea.

That's interesting. I've never heard of that device before that you can buy without a doctor prescription. My mom had to wear a heart monitor several times. I jad to wear something along those lines back in 2015 ...think it was more like a pulsometer/oximeter type thing.

That’s exactly what I was thinking surely one needs a prescription, I'm going to phone my cardiologist secretary on Monday and ask her that question, I had so many questions that I fired at my cardiologist on Wednesday, that I never thought to ask her if I needed a prescription to buy a kardio device.....I would have thought that she would of mentioned that I need a prescription if it was necessary......

I’ve got a blood pressure monitor.image.jpg

I've worn a Holter monitor and its later decendents. You can wear it about 2 weeks at a time, and disconnect it when taking a shower. It's a bit obtrusive, but bearably so.

You can't get one at the local pharmacy; you get it from your cardiologist. He has to attach the sensor wires to different parts of your chest and sides.

I’ve never heard of a Holter monitor ,and it’s later descendants, what’s that for?

I’d never even heard of a Kardio device, my cardiologist said it looks like a watch...I don’t mind wearing that.

I have a different model from the same manufacturer. It pops up a warning icon (a vibrating heart) while taking your pulse if it detects you're having an irregular heartbeat.

It's actually effective in detecting AFIB.
You have AF as well?...sorry if I’m coming across vague, just trying to understand.

My Son is looking into this Kardio device ....

It sounds like the technology has improved a lot in the last 10-15 years. What I had to wear looked like this:

I said to my cardiologist, I hate all this technology...the thing is though, it can save lives...the older I get, the more I hate change, I need to embrace change more......I will definitely get a Kardio device....I’m just lazy as I can’t be bothered to learn this new technology stuff.....I’m very negative ...I need a positive electric volt through me..LOL.

Yes, I do. It's pretty well-controlled by medication now, but I still get the occasional episode.
I’m praying that my beta blocker was to blame, then she went on to tell me that my mitral valve that was repaired, did leak badly for quite some time, I kept putting the operation off as it scared me....I know, my faith should have been in God, ......again, I don’t understand all this heart business.....

How long do your episodes last for?

The last one I had, lasted 14 hours...I should thank God that I’m not going into AF every day...at least I get usually a two and a half week break, this past month.

My last episode was in May of last year. That one lasted maybe 3-4 hours. Usually, 5-10 minutes on the exercise bike makes them go away.

@Ritajanice @TLHKAJ

I have suddenly developed AF which is quite a shock as I have had, up till now, no heart problems whatsoever.

It happened after I began to follow someone who does a HTMA protocol and says that artificial supplements are not good, which I have read about previously, so I decided to follow that advice and quit the supplements I was taking, carefully chosen after much research, and take nettle leaf fusion instead which contains a lot of nutrients.

I quickly developed a few symptoms including AF, so decided to go back on the supplements one by one testing them to see if I need them. So after watching the vids thanks, I began magnesium again. This nutrient is used up by Lyme bacteria so would explain why I have run into problems.

I also have berberine in my cupboard.

Sorry to hear that you have suffered with AF @Hepzibah ...how long did it last for?..did you only have the one episode.

I haven’t got a Kardio device yet...I then got this copy of the cardiologist letter, sent to my GP....

She told me I went into AF for several hours....she got that wrong, I told her I’m in it for 12 hours..plus she never gave him all the medication I’m on....any way I’m seeing my GP this morning about another problem I have....I’m also going to take this letter and discuss my AF with my GP ...

I still haven’t heard when I will be receiving this monitor....here is part of the letter.

Oh dear, yes, night time is the worst, are you able to get any sleep with it?

My cardiologist asked me why I never went to my GP, about this AF...what can he do,I said....the doctors in the hospital told me to take an extra bisoporal ....I’m getting all these mixed messages.....good job we have faith,Sis....these doctors are so stressed, with all the amount of patients they have to deal with....

Anyway, we are in Gods hands.....I just thank him, that I’m not in AF every day...

Are you going to see your GP about this AF?
