Individual Believers on a daily basis can come and go…believe, not believe, believe, not believe.

My personal Standing is According to the Lords description…
I am a Converted “IN” Christ “Born Again” Believer…which means….regardless of the DAY…(tomorrow, two weeks from now, 100 years from now, into eternity)…FOREVER
I shall FOREVER remain a “BELIEVER”.

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism.”

Who is our “one Lord” though? Is it the Lord Jesus Christ, or the one that Jesus serves as his “holy servant”? (Acts 4:27, 30) There are two “Lord”’s in scripture...the Sovereign Lord Jehovah and the Lord Jesus Christ. I can find reference to only one serving the other......the same God that the apostles served along with their Lord Jesus. (1 Cor 8:5-6) The one Jesus called “the only true God” in John 17:3......the one he calls “my God” even after his return to heaven. (Rev 3:12)

And what is this “one faith” when that is certainly NOT what we see in Christendom....just the opposite in fact. How many ways can people divide Christ? Apparently thousands in today’s world.

And what place does “baptism” have when some are sprinkling water on babies and calling it baptism?
Is it?

Where is God’s spirit when there is no unity? (1 Cor 1:10)

Perhaps we need the scriptures to define each of those for us because there is no consensus among professed Christians.......But how did we get here? is a better question....isn’t it?

Spot on! Anyone can call themselves a “Christian”, but few can live up to what it actually means. It’s not just “believing” in Christ…..even the demons “believe” (James 2:19)…..it is following through in obedience to ALL that he taught….being “no part of this world”……no part of its political aspirations, its immorality, its counterfeit religions, or its bloodshed…..true Christians cannot be any part of these and still fit the criteria.

It never ceases to amaze me that those who call themselves Christians can be up to their necks in the world and never see it. All the political haggling that divides them and the patriotic spirit that drives it, is in direct contrast to all the Jesus taught. One cannot be a patriot AND a Christian….they are competing elements for our heart and loyalty. We do not belong to any nation……nor are we obligated to break God’s law to obey man’s law….especially when it comes to bloodshed…..we belong to Christ who is our lord and savior no matter what nation we were born in. (Acts 10:34-35; Acts 15:14) What the world does is none of our business. (1 John 5:19) Let this world’s ruler sort out his own mess.

Just as anyone can call themselves anything…..if the criteria is not met, it negates the label that a person has chosen to wear.

What is the point of being a Christian on a board that has Christians as their majority of posters?
Are you not just preaching to the choir? Is that the kind of preaching that Jesus instructed us to do? (Matt 10:1-14; Matt 28:19-20) Were we to sit in a building and wait for people to wander in? Or were we instructed to take Christ’s message out to the people? Where are those preachers?

If you are preaching to those who already “love the Lord Jesus Christ”....what about the God that Jesus came to teach us about?....you know, the one Jesus taught us to pray to as, “Our Father”.
I see scant mention of the Father on these boards....yet Jesus spoke only of him.

Where is the ‘meat’ for mature Christians to chew on? We are to move on from the ‘milk’ which only nourishes infants.
And quoting an outdated translation of the Bible only causes confusing to new ones just coming to faith.
There are many good modern English translations that are way more accurate than the archaic English that the KJV uses...it’s a dinosaur now.

What will all your quoted verses mean to new ones if they are not accompanied by explanations and some background in context? Bible study involves more than just reading....it involves more importantly, understanding what we read, which is not possible with cherry picked verses that have no context.

If we are true believer we pay attention to keeping the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week. In the scriptures it's written in (Gen.2:2-5) (v.2) And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (v.3) And God blessed the seventh day (every seventh day of the week is a blessed and holy day) and sanctified it (it is a day that is separated (sanctified) for a purpose) because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (v.5) “and there was not a man to till the ground.” There was not a Jew, Catholic, Baptist, or Seventh Day Adventist; in fact, there was not a Christian when He constituted the Sabbath Day!

Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3, 10-14) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

He is the one who rested on the Sabbath day and commanded that you do the same. If you really understood the scriptures you would realize that He was the one who became known as Jesus who gave you the Ten Commandments. So not only did He command you to cease from your work on that day He also commanded you to. (Lev.23:3) “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;” He said on the Sabbath day that you should also have an holy convocation, which means holy gathering or simply put, go to church. Remember in Acts 7: 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Jesus say in (Mat.7:21) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. For students to succeed in school, students learn to follow their teachers' instructions, and learn their lessons carefully. But few apply this method when they are dealing with the word of God. Is Jesus your Lord? Then why don’t you do the things he says. (Luke 6:46) “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say”? He told you plainly: (Ex 20:8-10) (v.8) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (v.9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: (v.10) “But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God”.

Paul say in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Now any Christian in their right mind wouldn’t dare say that it’s okay to steal, kill or commit adultery or break any of the other seven commandments. But when it comes to the fourth commandment, people avoid it like a plague! They are either uninformed about which day is the Sabbath day of the God of the Bible or they are just following the tradition of religion that was passed down through the family or maybe they have let some preacher give them other excuses for ignoring God’s true day of worship.
