The Bible itself argues with that statement…..but if you do not appreciate why we have a “book“ instead of direct revelation, then you cannot see why direct revelation can come from a source that is not divine, but is nonetheless very powerfully persuasive. The book itself is not divine but it’s contents are…..it’s message is unalterable even if the words are twisted…..God will have his truth declared, no matter what the devil does to interfere with Jehovah’s purpose…..it will all go ahead…with us or without us. I know this will fall on deaf ears: but for me, As the person who’s actually thoroughly read and studied both, I find that the validation for both comes from the same place: God Himself.

I wonder if God just wasted His time and the time of those people to go through all they went through, when all you gotta do is is just nothing--hanging around till the Holy Spirit decides to do something and then you are saved.

Sweetie, please reread my post, I don’t need to constantly be reading my Bible...I have a Living relationship with God via His Spirit...you are looking at everything imo from your own human perspective.

The Spirit speaks to my spirit most of the day...then I look up in his word what was said, that’s how I learn all about the Lord.

I have the best teacher anyone can have, the Holy Spirit,xx

Same as the Bible: ask Him about it and look at His answers. Literally the same as the Bible.
