The Bible itself argues with that statement…..but if you do not appreciate why we have a “book“ instead of direct revelation, then you cannot see why direct revelation can come from a source that is not divine, but is nonetheless very powerfully persuasive. The book itself is not divine but it’s contents are…..it’s message is unalterable even if the words are twisted…..God will have his truth declared, no matter what the devil does to interfere with Jehovah’s purpose…..it will all go ahead…with us or without us. (Isa 55:11
This is excellent!! the Bible has an evidentiary past. the Book of Mormon does not.

I know this will fall on deaf ears: but for me, As the person who’s actually thoroughly read and studied both, I find that the validation for both comes from the same place: God Himself.

Now you write:
  1. v2: How were you given God's Spirit? Was it by (knowing and) obeying (external action) the Law of Moses or by hearing about Christ and having faith (internal action) in him?
  2. v6 The Scriptures say that God accepted Abraham because Abraham had faith. (Not knowledge).
  3. v8 Long ago the Scriptures said God would accept the Gentiles because of their faith. (Not knowledge).
  4. v9 This means everyone who has faith will share in the blessings given to Abraham because of his faith. (Not knowledge).
  5. v11 No one can please God by obeying (knowing) the Law. The Scriptures also say, “The people God accepts because of their faithwill live.” (Not knowledge).
  6. v12 The Law isn't based on faith. (But knowledge)
  7. v14 This happened so that by faith we would be given the promised Holy Spirit. (Not knowledge).
Look how many times you quoted “the Scriptures”!

But yet you say:
The book [the Bible] is irrelevant…

You’re contradicting yourself.

You wouldn’t even know about Christ our Savior, or the impact of the Holy Spirit, if you hadn’t read it in the book imparting that knowledge.

Pursuit of knowledge as though it was co-equal in importance with faith is a works based theology.
No one ever said, or even implied, that they were co-equal. Where did you get that strawman?

But our works are important…. Please read James 2:17,26….

“Faith by itself, without works, is dead.”

You are even more confused than I thought.
Why are you being contentious? It seems you’re trying to aggravate me.

Being Christ-like, negates any contention. - 2 Timothy 2:24

Hope you have a good day, my cousin.

This is not true, one only has to hear about Jesus at school from a minister, I learnt all about Jesus at school....

You do not have to read Gods word to be Born Of The Spirit....whose Spirit are we Born Again of?

Are we Born Again of The written word?

Teaching one must read a Bible to be Born Again is an un- truth.please don’t do it,xx

Yup. Root word, ignore. There is too much information so we must rationally choose what to ignore.

Again, knowledge is not necessary for salvation.
Amen!!

We need no knowledge of the Bible to be Born Of The Spirit.

We just need to know who Jesus was, I was taught all about Jesus at school, I could only understand what was taught in my head.......that’s why we must be Born Of The Spirit,xx

Without Jesus there would be no being Born Of The Spirit.

The Bible does not save anyone.

The Bible does not save anyone.
Not the Book itself, but it tells you how to be saved
The Bible tells us all about Christ, both in the Old Testament and the new. If we love Him, I would think we would want to learn all about Him.

All those years of patriarchs and apostles writing down what God wanted us to know, the history. Gospels, counsels, not to speak of all of the martyrs who gave their lives to make sure everyone could access a Bible--all for nought--
I wonder if God just wasted His time and the time of those people to go through all they went through, when all you gotta do is is just nothing--hanging around till the Holy Spirit decides to do something and then you are saved.

I would love to see where the Bible speaks of spirit babies, God's wife, baptism for the dead, etc.

The Living Spirit is who makes us Born Again, the written word backs up the Living Spirit, who is Gods witness.

We would not die without a Bible.

The Spirit leads us through the Bible to understand God’s truth ,as we are spirit led to understand the written word...without the Spirit leading us through scripture, if we had no access to a Bible, it would mean we just wouldn’t grow in understanding our Spiritual Father.

But.we know in our spirit that we are Born Again, not by reading a Bible..

Gods written word tells us how we are Born Again..after the Living Spirit has made us Born Again, then confirms this in his written word.

The Living Spirit makes our spirit Born Again...the written word backs up Gods Living word.

Becoming Born Again for me was “ mind blowing “....my testimony and belief.

The thing is everything has been done to preserve God's Word. People have died for it. You brush it off like it was lint on your shoulder.

Why was it preserved? If it is not necessary, why does Jesus tell us to search the scriptures? Why doesn't He tell us to chillax--it'll just come to you? We are supposed to learn of Him. where do you learn of Him?

I don’t think God said we are given His Spirit?
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]?

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you? Don’t you know that you have the Holy Spirit from God, and you don’t belong to yourselves?

Or don’t you know that your body is a temple for the Ruach HaKodesh who lives inside you, whom you received from God? The fact is, you don’t belong to yourselves;

You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own.

You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit that you received from God and that lives in you. You don’t own yourselves.

Sweetie, please reread my post, I don’t need to constantly be reading my Bible...I have a Living relationship with God via His Spirit...you are looking at everything imo from your own human perspective.

The Spirit speaks to my spirit most of the day...then I look up in his word what was said, that’s how I learn all about the Lord.

I have the best teacher anyone can have, the Holy Spirit,xx

All that I know the Spirit taught me and continues to do so, I grow in His Spiritual Knowledge.

I am speaking that, as the person who's actually read & studied both the Bible and Book of Mormon, that I find the ultimate witness/validator of both is God Himself.

How does God validate the Book of Mormon?
