Does anyone else feel a sense of dread? It's kind of like this undercurrent. Subtle, but it's there. It's like there's something wrong in our society, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

What can I do about it? I don't have any control over what's going to happen in the world. What are you going to do about it?

By becoming a Christian? If only it were so simple. You know the ship is sinking. Think about getting into the lifeboat.

Well, I guess I don't have one. Still, I'm not convinced that I need one either. And even if I did, which version of Christianity should I choose? They can't agree amongst themselves what is true and what is not in their own faith. As an agnostic, what’s your lifeboat?

I live in the United States. I think this sense of dread I feel could be a lead up to the next great war. A nuclear one maybe. I've had the sense for a while now that the era of the American empire is winding down.Everyone needs a lifeboat when the ship is sinking. Despite your sense of dread, you must have some reason to think that the ship isn’t going to sink.
Exactly my point. You see, I have this theory. I don't think anyone truly rejects God or Christianity, except maybe people of other religions. The agnostics and atheists? They just haven't been persuaded.Everyone has to be persuaded in their own mind.
Is it my choice? Do you know that for a fact? What if it's not? What if I cant believe it even if I really would like to? Is it still my choice? All I can advise you to do is listen to Jesus. I encourage you to believe that what he says is true, but the decision is yours. He’s the judge, not fractured Christianity.

Do you think it's right for non-Christians that are decent people to end up in hell? Or do you believe we go somewhere else? The Bible says that it is. I believe that it is.
You’ll have to answer that for yourself.

Or do you believe we go somewhere else?
So, not heaven then? I think many Christians think that they will go to heaven upon death.Christian and non-Christian alike end up in hell (Gk. sheol / Gk. hades) when they die. It’s the place of the dead, the grave.
Where anyone ultimately winds up going is in the hands of the Messiah to decide.
