@Rita good to see you recovered sucessfully, and hope your son also has recovered.
I can’t prove it was the actual virus, although one symptom stood out with my son, and other members of the family who were sick just before - on day one, they experienced a feeling of ‘ having a brick resting on their chests ‘ - never known a virus to affect the chest at the very beginning .......I only felt I was fighting something off - I guess time will tell if we have had it and got through, or had something else

What’s bluegrass Josho ?
Rita

1 would have to listen to it to really find out hahahahha, it really is a mixture, a blend of country, folk, Irish, blues etc, main instruments you would hear in bluegrass music are banjos, mandolins, acoustic guitars, dobros, fiddles, double bass.

Better safe than sorrow; and the Lord preserves through means, including through sound advice about precautions.

I think that if we look back there will have been various books we will have wanted to read sometime but haven't managed to get around to it.

Maybe now is an ideal opportunity!

Yep, a true hillbilly kind of music, hehe. I play Scruggs style aka 3 finger style on the banjo, never really have done much clawhammer style, I may have tried it a few times but never stuck to it, and just went back to Scruggs style.

I think that Dire Straits - These Mist Covered Mountains are home now to me (Brothers in Arms) have some Appalachian style/thematic hints...

well I like dire straights , and I do know what hillbilly music is- not actually sure I would put those two things together, so it could be an interesting kind of sound.

@Rita this is as real as bluegrass gets. Interesting how they dress in suits, but you can see how it has a hillbilly sound.

Mark Knopfler is truly brilliant on the electric guitar, isn't he...? kind of makes it scream and howl so engagingly... :)

I used to be able to scream very loudly as a kid, but my voice changed somewhere along the way, honestly didn't even realize the moment when my voice changed, must have happened in my sleep. :p

I was thinking of the electric guitar screaming rather than the human voice... :)

Nothing new, just a lot more of the same old; reading, social media and TV.

Too much time spent on CyB recently hehehe.

Need to get back into playing more banjo, I never even gotten through the Scruggs book I have and I have had that one for must be 8 years now + too mention I also have quite a number of digital learning materials I have bought, some are gathering pixels or no pixels, haha. :p

So ye banjo is an old hobby of nearly 10 years, still amatuer though. hahahha

Lap Steel is one of the newer ones maybe 2 years or less.
Well now you got to record yourself playing and let us listen and enjoy!:)
