In the winter months they put up lights all over town , really cool. You could step in the store and jam with them it's open to any who want to participate.Now that screams bluegrass.
Actually social distancing is more likely to make people sick than herd immunity (according to scientific studies from way back). And we are talking about just another strain of flu. But WEAPONIZED to bring down the West.
People have known about bio-weapons for a very long time. But no one figured that China would use theirs very cunningly to shut down America after the trade imbalance was about to be corrected.
But Western nations have only themselves to blame. They elected politicians year after year who were committed to giving China the total trade advantage, by literally shipping jobs and industries to China (and SE Asia), while shutting down factories and manufacturing plants in North America and the West. No wonder China believes that Western politicians are plain stupid.

Whatever the background, real or alleged, the plain fact is that this virus is deadly, especially to those who have respiratory issues already.
I don't see you acknowledge this plain and widely admitted fact.
So do I follow the distancing advice of: 1) the local authorities who even up the road from where I live have had to contend with a senior home which has lost dozens of residents because of the killer virus over the past weeks, or 2) yours? (& I'm still not quite sure what your advice about the virus itself is...)
This virus is no more deadly than other flu viruses (but it does seriously impact the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions). The deaths per 100,000 of the population are about the same as those for previous flu/pneumonia deaths -- about 15/100,000. Check out the CDC websites. Now some states are adjusting their reported deaths downwards to reflect the actual deaths from COVID-19. The mainstream media, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are deliberately trying to prevent people from knowing the facts. Here is one example:

Big Tech companies are aggressively tamping down on COVID-19 “misinformation” — opinions and ideas contrary to official pronouncements.
Dr. Knut M. Wittkowski, former head of biostatistics, epidemiology and research design at Rockefeller University, says YouTube removed a video of him talking about the virus which had racked up more than 1.3 million views.
Wittkowski, 65, is a ferocious critic of the nation’s current steps to fight the coronavirus. He has derided social distancing, saying it only prolongs the virus’ existence and has attacked the current lockdown as mostly unnecessary.
Wittkowski, who holds two doctorates in computer science and medical biometry, believes the coronavirus should be allowed to achieve “herd immunity,” and that short of a vaccine the pandemic will only end after it has sufficiently spread through the population.
“With all respiratory diseases, the only thing that stops the disease is herd immunity. About 80% of the people need to have had contact with the virus, and the majority of them won’t even have recognized that they were infected,” he says in the now-deleted video.

Just like after the Printing Press, controls had to be introduced to stop the publishing of stupidity.
The same stupidity is being freely published today on the Net, and controls need to be put in place to stop the misinformation from being published. The administration of this forum, cautiously monitor the content of posts, within the constraints of respect the so called 1st amendment rights of the country of origin of this forum.
The forum has become a very dangerous place and if we followed some of the "recommended solutions to our problems," then mayhem would descend wholesale on us all.
It is time for controls to be exercised on what is published on the internet.

Hi Jay, respectfully I couldn't disagree with you more.
I believe truth is the best defense/attack against lies. Censorship on the other hand is effective against truth.
A lie can't afford to be challenged by an opponent with truth - as it will be exposed. Truth on the other hand only stands stronger when lies attack it, and fall.
If we accept control of information and silencing any dissenters now - it will only continue to be used more and more - just like in China. And then it will be used to perpetuate lies unchallenged.
Unfortunately what you're wanting is already been put into effect though. Youtube, twitter and facebook are doing it "for the good" of the people. Silencing among others, doctors that come up with any testimonies that go against the established elite. Main stream media is selective on what they air - and the majority biased towards an agenda - not putting out truth.
I will be for controlling information - and also having the dictator at the right time, and the right person. That person will be Christ - once he comes back and stands on the Mount of Olives to defeat the antichrist. Until then - I am for free speech and freedom of information - and will choose to fight lies with truth rather than advocate censorship.
