What age must they be?

There is no age limit as such. Peter speaks about a gift associated with repentance and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit determines when a person is ready to do that in a meaningful way.

Children mature at different rates. The Holy Spirit knows when a child is ready.
