My experience with con artists is that they are always trying to get something from you in exchange for a promise to pay you later.

They are throughout the whole bible. Everyone telling the king, "don't worry about it, they're our friends they don't want a war with you"
Then bang there they go into captivity again and again..
same thing with sin.
Ah well all you have to do is confess it and say a few things and whallah all is forgiven and then you come back next week and do it again.
And in the meantime, if you do something really really bad... it will be our little secret.
And some people prefer to live knowing they can get away with murder and not have to worry about a conscience thing, because it's magic how it all gets wiped away from history with a few chosen verses.
They never really have to make a change or be truly sorry for anything.
Then you have the typr that tell you that you can buy your way to heaven. Just sow some seeds and you will receive, but you don't really have to do anything except send your money.
What did Jesus say about people breaking in and trying to climb in some other way?
He called them theives. But that don't bother some people as long as they think they will get something at the end of the day.

You want to know what real christianity looks like, you have to watch people's characters. It's not what they say it's what they do.
Ye shall know them by their fruit.

And some fruit I.O.U, is really really bad.
But you shouldn't judge all because of some. There are a lot of good christians in this world that get a bum rap because of guys like these.
You know the parable of the sower who went to sow seed?
Some fell here and other there and some fell on good ground.
Notice the "some" here. Not everyone who calls themselves a christian even know what it is to be christian.
They just like the label and the title.
But that's what the world does, clumps us all into groups. It's easier to control people like that, then to believe there are a million little individual independent candles shining all around the world. And they don't have any denomination controlling the way they think or believe.

Consider the ant thou sluggard....
It's the grasshoppers that need the ants.

All these people raking in profits from people who are looking for hope, for truth, for comfort..
They already have their reward in this life. Most of them won't die with an R.I.P over their heads.
More like a B.I.H. All you have to do is rearrange a couple lines and it reads Burn In Hell.

Nah, it's not what you take with you into the next life that matters, it's what you left behind in this one you will be remembered and judged for.

People will do what they do. But you need to learn to discern between them.

Ties in with "the peace of God" (Philippians 4.7) and "the God of peace" (Hebrews 13.20).

We all have decisions to make, and we will all reap the rewards of those choices. Peace.

I suppose that all depends on one's interpretation of heaven.
Personally I don't believe it's a place I will go to, but rather a place I am in.
Probably about a couple thousand threads on the topic here, but that's what I believe.

It's a tricky thing...when I first met Jesus, I wasn't looking for Him. But I only met my Father after a desperate 4-month search. All I can say is that He is there and whatever it takes to find Him, it would be worth it.
