Dear brother, I don't blame anyone for feeling upset about the state of things, I don't like it either, but in truth this is looking at everything from a worldly point of view and a state of panic. But what is going on from heaven's point of view? We need to see what the FATHER is doing and that He is ruling & reigning still, and have our trust in Him. Nothing is going to stop the things that the Lord has foretold will happen in the end. Things are going to wrap up at the end of time, the times of the Gentiles will end, regardless of what people do regarding politics. The Lord has foreseen everything that man will do and gone before and prepared the way to fulfill His word. There is no way to outsmart, or out-maneuvre or fight against His sovereign will and purposes. We need to bow down to His will and trust in His help and protection through all the tumultuousness and shaking.

Old true saying, the solution to one problem is often the beginning of another problem, in this world. Does the end justify the means? That is a Marxist Godless belief and we need to guard our hearts.

Trump was chosen as a Cyrus......there are both Jews and Christians who see this. But we need to consider what Cyrus did. First of all he brought about the fall of Babylon. He was God's chosen vessel to judge Babylon and divide it in two. What was Babylon at the time? It was the leading world beast system that had "captured" the people of God. Spiritually, for believers, this is a picture/parable of the people of God trusting in and having their faith in that world system instead of in God. When Babylon falls, and its idols, it sets believers free to seek and trust in God again. The Lord has to take away the idols of what people are trusting in, in order that they learn to look to and trust in Him again.....we just can't do that when everything is going well....there is no opportunity for Him to prove and manifest His power and faithfulness when there are other means of help at our disposal. This is one reason why it is through much tribulation that we enter the kingdom of heaven. Why we find much more faith and many more miracles taking place in parts of the world where believers have no other help to turn to.

The other thing Cyrus did in the will and purpose of God was to facilitate the return of the Jews to Israel and the rebuilding of their Temple. From an earthly point of view, when present day Babylon falls it means the Jews will go back to Israel in droves and will rebuild their Temple. Israel is going to become the leading world empire and system in place of the Gentiles. I think that is not too hard to foresee when we realize who are already the leaders in everything this world depends on.....finance, technology, medicine and science etc. When things become too uncomfortable and untenable in the Gentile world that is falling apart, I believe they will all move to Israel and bring everything that they have with them....knowledge, money, power and influence. Job done and dusted, heh......suddenly Israel will be #1 in the world overnight, for a little while until the return of Christ I believe. From a worldly point of view if we are sympathetic to the Jews we might think this is a "good" thing for Israel to rise to the top, and from an earthly point of view it will be. But spiritually for believers we must not be naive, unbelieving fallen human nature is what it is regardless of ethnicity, and we must not let our hearts be drawn into and taken captive to the belief system of unbelieving Israel. Though I wish them well, and they are loved on account of the patriarchs, "Israel after the flesh" is not the same as the "Israel of God".

So again to sum up...there are two purposes in scripture for this "Cyrus", one to divide and bring about the fall of Gentile Babylon, and second to facilitate the return of the Jews to Israel and rebuild their Temple. So let's watch and see, and not succumb to panic. To be clear I don't believe at all he is going to do these things on purpose, it's just how it will all go down inadvertently......but in the express will and purposes of God, who is ruling and reigning in ways that we did not fathom.
