There is only one true church

It is completely evident that you don’t have the wisdom to discern Scripture – or even the basic logic. These aren’t “contradictions”, so much as they are different vantage points of the truth. If you were to question 10 eyewitnesses to a car accident – you would get 10 different VERSIONS – but...

There is only one true church

Paul is warning the Corinthians not to receive the Eucharist unworthily – dui to their SINS. It had nothing to do with the bizarre idea that only a FEW of them were allowed to receive. He is telling them to make sure they don’t have unconfessed or unrepented sin. Sin doesn’t just “disappear”...

There is only one true church

And NOWHERE does Jesus indicate that the rest of us are "forbidden" from parttaking in the Eucharist. Face it - you math doesn't work. Paul instructs the entire Church at Corinth to receive the Eucharist (1 Cor. 11:17-34). That was only ONE Church out of MANY. The Church at Ephesus...

There is only one true church

God Himself disagrees with you . . . 2 Tim. 3:16 ALL SCRIPTURE is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness The Holy Spirit is the Author of Scripture - NOT the scribes who wrote it down.

There is only one true church

And it doesn’t matter if Paul doesn’t call his writings “Scripture”. The Holy Spirit is the Author – NOT Paul. The fact remains that Paul’s writings ARE Scripture – and the Holy spirit meant what He said about Oral Tradition being equal to Scripture in 2 Thess. 2:15.

There is only one true church

Your perversion that only a select few of Christ’s followers are invited to partake in His Body and Blood is a complete heresy and is NOWHERE taught in Scripture.

There is only one true church

This is the most asinine argument I’ve ever been involved in with regard to the authority of Scripture. YOU ignorantly believe that each Book of Scripture doesn’t convey Truth – unless it is read in chronological order. EACH Book is Scripture individually. – and they are ALL Scripture...

There is only one true church

Uhh, no – you didn’t show me where it says that ONLY 144,000 can partake in the Eucharist. You’ll have to explain why Jesus taught the crowds – not a select few – that they MUST eat His flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life (John 6:53-57). You’ll also have to explain why Paul preached...

There is only one true church

I guess I’m not really sure why you even brought up 2 Tim. 3:16 in the first place. The debate it about whether Paul was placing Oral Tradition on the same place as that which is written (Scripture). They BOTH amount to the Word of God. One is spoken – the other is written.
  10. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

You’re changing the argument. Your initial argument was that nobody is to receive the Eucharist EXCEPT for the 144,000 – a claim that Scripture NEVER makes.
  11. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

And where does Jesus tell the Apostles that NOBODY else can receive the Eucharist except fpr them and the 144,000 from Rev. 7??

There is only one true church

You're just angry that I exposed you. Again - From YOUR post #827: “2 Tim. 3:16, where Paul DOES mention graphē (= Scripture).” From YOUR post #847: “The ONLY thing I have been concerned with here -- and the thing you just can't seem to focus on, no matter how hard I try to focus you -- is the...

There is only one true church

Yup. Now, show me where ANY verse says that ONLY a select few can receive the Eucharist. – and I’ll show you where it is recommended for ALL . . .
  14. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

Like I said before – you’re either a really BAD communicatory – or you’re just NOT that bright. “Graphé” NEVER appears in 2 Thess. 2:15. I don’t even know why you brought it up in the first place. Bottom line here: The Holy Spirit speaking through Paul’s pe declared that the Oral Tradition...
  15. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

And you have YET to show a SUNGLE verse that “forbid” the Eucharist to ANY member of the Body of Christ.

There is only one true church

From YOUR post #827: “2 Tim. 3:16, where Paul DOES mention graphē (= Scripture).” From YOUR post #847: “The ONLY thing I have been concerned with here -- and the thing you just can't seem to focus on, no matter how hard I try to focus you -- is the meaning of "graphe" in 2 Tim. 3:16. “ I...

There is only one true church

WRONG. Luke 22:29-30 is about a promise Jesus makes to His Apostles – His inner circle. This pertains t TJEM. The Eucharist as a sacrament is NOT for an exclusive few but for ALL who follow and obey Christ. John 6:53-57 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of...

There is only one true church

Either you’re a really BAD communicator – or you’re just NOT that bright. It is YOU who keeps stating that Paul used the word, “graphé” in 2 Thess. 2:15. As I have more than amply educated you – he did NOT. He used the word, επιστολε (ep-is-tol-ay'), which means “a letter”. EVERY time you say...
  19. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

Yup. He is the author of ALL Scripture.
  20. BreadOfLife

There is only one true church

That’s not completely accurate (John 7:24, John 20:21-23). What He didn’t give was the Authority to condemn. I’ve shown you where Jesus said that anyone who listened to or rejected His Church listened to or rejected HIM (Luke 10:16). And while we’re on the subject of Authority – the Bible...
