Science is bringing us closer than ever to proving God is real

“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there...

Did Jesus Come Back As A Ghost - In His Body?

In heaven, there isn't a need for a physical body. In heaven they have celestial or etheral bodies (whatever you want to call it). There's one kind of body to dwell in the spiritual realm and one kind to dwell in this earthy realm. I believe we will have access to both realms in the future.

Did Jesus Come Back As A Ghost - In His Body?

That's fine, but then it would negate the need for a ressurected body.

    E. Jean Carroll's made-up accusations

The point is that she's a liar and her testimony is unreliable. But of course, it's not difficult to get a conviction in New York if your name is Trump, which is why they wanted it there. I'm posting this because I still see the "rapist" accusation being thrown around a lot.

Did Jesus Come Back As A Ghost - In His Body?

Jesus could walk through walls, and yet he could also be seen, touched, and even ate. That wouldn't fit the description of disembodied spirit. It was his body, but a better version of it. Not of flesh and blood but of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39). They even questioned him if he was a ghost, and...

Can you be priest without believing in god or taking the bible seriously?

He was in the wrong line of work, that's for sure. I'd be curious to know what church\denomination he belonged to. Some have become heretical.

Why didn't god give every soul as much time as it needed to become good? Why send so many to hell?

The assumption is that, given enough time, people become better. But why would time make people good? In the history of humanity, has time made people better? What do we even determine what is good without God?

Why I Would Not Like Jesus

Deeper truths can't always be grasped right away, especially when it comes to spiritual matters. Jesus said a lot of things about his death and resurrection that his apostles didn't understand at the time, though they would later. I believe this was strategic. 1 Corinthians 2:8 says, "None of...

    Who are God's 'chosen'?

That doesn't seem to work out so well.

K Harris announces will use tax dollars to pay reparations to black people

What comes next is more reparations. The allure of free money is too great. Once that can of worms is opened, it will never end. The only ones who truly deserved reparations were the slaves themselves, but that moment has long since passed.

What reason do people say you have to have faith in the bible?

Moral laws are universal. If something was morally wrong in the Old Testament, like murder or theft, it's still wrong today. I'm not quite sure where you're coming from. Your profile says Christian. May I ask how long you've been a Christian and what exactly you believe? It might help in how I...

    Rethinking God

No, I'm not saying that all. How did you draw that conclusion?

What reason do people say you have to have faith in the bible?

How would we know about Jesus, his death, and his resurrection if not for the Bible? How would we know about God, His character and attributes without the Bible? How would we know what is true or not without the Bible? How could we test the spirits without comparing and contrasting it against...

Were the Gospel accounts a mythology of Jesus?

It's a little confusing, but I think I have the solution. It takes a careful reading of the sequence of events. Mark 11 seems to be the more complete version, so I'll start with that. Note that Jesus and the apostles visit Jerusalem on three consecutive days: Visit 1 (Mark 11:1–11) Jesus and...

Were the Gospel accounts a mythology of Jesus?

It would still be within the apostle's lifetime. I imagine the apostles wouldn't have recorded it right away, as they didn't recognize the need for it. But as Christianity grew and they got older and faced their own mortality, it would have seemed prudent to write it down. It's ultimately...

Democrats in congress threaten civil war if Trump elected

Saving democracy by destroying it. They accused Trump of election interference for daring to question the 2020 election. Yet, they have been interfering with this election since Trump announced he was running again. They're not even subtle about it. I've said before, if Trump wins, those same...

Were the Gospel accounts a mythology of Jesus?

Wouldn't we expect this to be the case if the accounts were true? It would be more suspect if the accounts didn't match up. In truth, we don't know for certain when the gospels were written, and these sorts of things are always open to debate. Most liberal scholars don't believe in the Bible...

Sweeping the Polytheism of Ancient Israel Under the Rug

You might want to check out Dr. Michael S. Heiser's work on the divine council if you haven't already done so. Calling them gods is somewhat missleading. We view gods from a modern western lens, not from an ancient Near East perspective. Polytheism can be defined as more than one god who vies...
