So pre mills actually think when they come down to this earth after a rapture, their stuff left behind will still be there?

I'm pre mill, and I don't think it will be that way at all. We believe Christ will be ruling and it will literally be a new age. It will be as different to life now as it was to life in Noah's day before the flood. That is to say, very different. In fact, it gives some very clear distinctions...

The miracle of TVs, another late-night musing.

Or they will be watching us and thinking and laughing, did they really believe those things? Much the same way we think of people living in the middle ages.

So pre mills actually think when they come down to this earth after a rapture, their stuff left behind will still be there?

Hi Scott. This seems to be a strawman argument to me. I've never heard of any premillennials who believe such things, and it would be impractical in any case. The majority of people who have ever lived died hundreds and thousands of years ago, so they couldn't just continue on with their old...

Theory of Evolution, do evolutionist do honest research?

Evolution is usually presented as fact although it remains a theory and can't even be validated by the scientific method. The biggest glaring issue is that it can't explain how something organic can come from something inorganic. If everything started off as inert matter then something had...

The miracle of TVs, another late-night musing.

This is kind of a trivial musing, but I was thinking about how amazing the invention of the TV is. We take it for granted today, but to someone who lived thousands or even hundreds of years ago, it would seemed like magic. Just think about it, we are able to capture echoes of the past. I recall...

Following the recent news on new discoveries under the Pyramids? Massive structures larger than the Pyramids are underground

I've seen this making the rounds lately but it seems to come from a single source that hasn't been peer reviewed or validated yet. Some are a little skeptical they are getting such detailed information on supposed structures so deep below the surface of the earth. It needs to be taken with a...

DECONSTRUCTION - How far is too far?

If you question your faith, is it really faith anymore? There are some things that are unknowable, unprovable, and can only be accepted on faith. We all "choose" to put our faith in something, believer and unbeliever alike. Asking questions is one thing, but if asking questions causes you to...

    Question for everybody

Faith is for us, an omniscient being doesn't require faith.

    Dealing with an ailing parent.

I think I can understand that. My mother is my dad's primary caretaker, and I know how exhausting it is to take care of someone who can't take care of themselves. Perhaps, losing him will not nearly as difficult as having him but seeing him struggle.

Please pray for the persecuted in Syria

Have they though? Because if you look at the history of Islam, it was spread by the sword.

If Reality Is A Simulation, Then Belief Is The Code

I have had similar thoughts. I do suspect that God has allowed things to play out as they are as sort of an object lesson. Living in this imperfect, fallen world/universe does give us an interesting perspective that I think we otherwise would not be able to obtain. For instance, we learn faith...

    Dealing with an ailing parent.

My father's birthday is this week, he'll be 86. He's always been pretty healthy. Even in his 70s, he was still pretty active and going to the gym. But in the last few years, his health has declined rapidly. It's more than apparent that his time here on earth is short. This is a difficult thing...

    God is Still Protecting Israel

I think Romans 11 answers that question. If God broke off the branch to graft us in, then he can easily graft them back in. Moreover, I believe prophetically this will happen. I'm going to quote myself from another thread: So, yes, currently the Jews are still in disobedience (although...

    God is Still Protecting Israel

Hi, Reggie. The whole question of who is a Jew can get a bit murky. The orthodox view is that if the mother is Jewish, then the child is too, regardless of the father. I don't think it takes being 100% anything, and I don't claim to know how God sees it. But in the Book of Revelation, the sealed...

A bit of a mess in the White House.

One side wants peace, the other side doesn't. I'll let you guess who is who.

    God is Still Protecting Israel

God did foretell that they would be regathered and become a nation again. It didn't say they would be regathered in belief, that is yet to come. But reestablishing the nation of Israel is necessary for end-time events to play out. The Book of Revelation revolves around Jerusalem and the Jewish...

Aliens & watchers & hybrids, oh my!

I've actually done a deep dive into dragons for something I'm working on. You can trace the origin of all dragon mythos back to Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization. In their pantheon of gods, there is a female primordial sea serpent deity called Tiamat who represents chaos. She is basically...

Are these two great contradictions of the Catholic Faith

Not a Catholic but married to one. It seems to me a lot of distinctly Catholic theology does not scriptural backing but is built upon what previous church fathers have said and has become accepted as the gospel truth. If Mary had two human parents, and there's no reason to believe otherwise...

Two different mindsets about peace.... Palestinians and Israelis interviewed

That was true back then, but I think it's a bit more to it than that. One on hand, it's spiritual. It's the only explanation why the world is so obsessed about a tiny piece of land (Israel) and a small ethnic minority (the Jews). On the other hand, the Bible says of Ishmael, "his hand will be...
