Pentecostalism: The Glorification of the Flesh

Robert, it is so good to see you are not a Calvinist.

Pentecostalism: The Glorification of the Flesh

"Everyone" we're NOT the first to believe, as were the apostles. Ephesians 1:12. Everyone else is in the next verse, 13.

Pentecostalism: The Glorification of the Flesh

Ephesians 1 shows the apostles were also predestined. And Ephesians 4 shows offices that were also predestined. Many are called, few are CHOSEN. cc: @BarneyFife :waves:

Pentecostalism: The Glorification of the Flesh

One error is that in the Bible the words "predestination" and "elect" don't insure salvation. After all, Judas was "predestinated." And in Isaiah all the Jews were God's "elect."

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

What do you think is being said here? Mark 10:11-12 11 He said to them, “A man who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against his wife. 12 In the same way, a woman who divorces her husband and marries another man commits adultery.” Luke 16:18 “Any man who divorces his...

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

What is missing is a certificate of divorce, so as written it appears to me it was discovered the first night. Everyone will read this and interpret to their own benefit. I will err on the side of strict holiness. So whatever the truth really is, I will continue to not date just in case...

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

Did divorce happen to you? If so, were you both Christians?

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

Yes, but seeing as my first husband and I were not saved at the time, it would have been forgiven, so I could marry as if for the first time. At least that is how I viewed it. I know all the loopholes, but the holiness of God says otherwise, and when I read this OP and how it jelled with the...

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

In name only and so was he. There are lots of "Christians" in the Church who are not born again like us. 6 months after the divorce he got filled with the Spirit and born again. And about a year or so later I was too. He was a Nashville recording artist and the divorce really shook him up, and...

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

I am very glad you posted this. Matthew 19 never set right with me, and now I know why. And Matthew 5:32 didn't change the meaning of Matthew 19 either.

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

Me too now that we cleared up the verse in Matthew. I don't believe in remarriage after divorce either; it must be a death. I've been divorced twice so that's another reason I don't want to date.

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

Yep, that's what Jesus said. The question remains of WHEN. Did she commit fornication before the marriage, or after. But I'm still not dating. LOL

I thought that was Mark, but it wasn't. Please provide the verse and version.

Did Jesus say that adultery is grounds for divorce? - Nope.

That is perfectly normal. And, yes, I am in love with God.

Thanks. I shouldn't have married him in the first place. I could feel a check in my spirit for the whole week before the ceremony. Then afterward, God used it to bring me to a new level of obedience to a time when I said to God that I would not divorce him, even if he killed me. (he was abusive)...
