Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

Sorry, I don't believe that's from God. For example, in the Bible Satan is not going to be sitting on a throne at the left hand of God. Actually, Satan (aka the devil) has an entirely different fate. What you said seems to suggest that Satan is an authority figure or someone to sympathize with...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

That is not the answer about who Jesus is as revealed by the Father in heaven. Observe how Jesus praised Peter and said that his answer is what the Father revealed as the truth. Therefore Thomas is wrong and that only adds to the fact that Thomas wasn't blessed. Matthew 16 13When Jesus came...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

Good morning. what I mean is it's wise to be discerning about the things we believe. I do believe it's possible to feel right while ultimately being deceived. Isn't the proof in the pudding? So many false prophets abound it's just something to be aware of. Also, what I mean is there is nothing...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

I would actually be careful about "new revelation" since anyone can say something new, make it sound religious, and attach it to Christianity. The New Covenant and sacrifice of Jesus are currently still in effect. There is nothing new to add in a general sense. Most of what is available is old...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

Absolutely. When God spoke to the prophets, He either communicated directly with them or through messengers. Often orally, yes, through visions or dreams. What the Bible describes as God speaking to people can be either telepathic communication or an audible voice. God can do those sorts of...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

Jesus did rebuke Thomas. In John 20 Thomas had plainly stated he would never believe unless he saw the resurrected Jesus and then Jesus said that only those who have not seen, yet believe, are blessed. That means Thomas isn't blessed. John 20 24Now Thomas called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

The story of the garden is kinda what we knew all along it's just in a different format. The gist is that Adam and Even were perfect and faithful in the beginning. They were happy, beautiful, lived in peace obeying God's commands, and they did not want anything. Eventually, they disobeyed God...

What if I don’t want eternal life?

Jesus said only those who believe in him with have eternal life. All others perish which is to say they pass away completely and/or are destroyed. There would be nothing left of you that is alive and conscious to experience living eternally in hell. And living forever eternally will not be dry...

Why didn't God destroy Satan at the beginning?

God tolerates a lot of things and makes a lot of decisions that may seem counterintuitive to us. Why did God place Adam near a dangerous tree in the first place? Why did God create the world fully omniscient of how things would turn out? We don't know exactly based on Scripture. We may need to...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

And yet Jesus said the Father is the only true God. Words have meaning and Jesus was right wasn't he? Now that's rare for someone to actually try to spin it into Thomas being blessed. Thomas, one who hadn't seen, was not blessed for requiring evidence of Jesus' resurrection. Thomas was not...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

And yet Jesus still plainly said the Father is the only true God. He didn't get it wrong did he? Peter and John didn't say Jesus is God in Acts 4:24-27. Thomas didn't say Jesus is God anywhere. With Isaiah I guess you are referring to Isaiah 9:6 but Isaiah didn't say Jesus is God there. Who...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

And yet Jesus plainly taught the Father in your Trinity is the only true (singular) God. How do you account for there being no mention of the Son and Holy Spirit there? John 17 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

Me too, but what Pope St. Clement I said about the Phoenix doesn't belong in Christianity in my honest opinion.

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

Brilliant. The original bird is now dead and there's a new bird. So the Father died and Jesus died, but then Jesus was resurrected, yet it's a different Jesus? This is so much worse than I previously thought. Are you Catholic?

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

How is that co-equality if God the Father is doing His own thing while the Son doesn't get to decide?

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

Yes exactly like a Phoenix from paganism, an idol. Someone died then they resurrected themselves therefore they didn't die. Creates a problem for who or what the sin sacrifice is exactly in Trinitarianism. Did the Son of God die for sins? If so how? Would love to see someone from the other side...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

I agree. The theological argument begins with a stated belief and then attaches verses to the belief for supporting evidence, but it's impossible to begin with verses and then attach the doctrine to it. Why? The doctrine is neither explained or described in the Bible. Jesus and the apostles...

    A Question for Jehovah's Witnesses

The fact that Jesus is still a man is the elephant in the room after all of the debating is done. A man as God, even with the hypostatic union, is idolatry and yet the Bible makes no distinction between Jesus the human and Jesus the Son of God. The resolution is being offered, but very few seem...

    Rethinking God

    John 3:16

    Rethinking God

I would offer you that it's more nuanced than that. According to Genesis, their sin did not have a direct effect on creation, but according to what is written it was God who initiated the curse that applied specifically to Adam, Eve, and the Earth. Nothing about this effecting the entire universe.
